I finally got through to customer service after waiting an age, and was told that they would not help me with the leather upholstered solid oak dining chairs we bought 9 years ago, when the sprayed on finish started to disintigrate. I argued that the upholstery was not leather, when in fact on closer inspection it appears to be rough leather covering, with a spray on plastic (of some sort) finish, and it's the finish that's peeling off.
I expect leather chairs to last a considerably longer time that this, especially as usage has been very light, and the oak frames are as new. They now look awful, and I will have to pay a considerable amount to have them recovered.
I have bought many items for OFL over the years, but I won't be using them again after their response to my query today.
