This company is so futile and useless that I wouldn't be surprised if Trust pilot have imitated a "purple bricks" review, as in the reviews are " inaccurate ".

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY is the best advice I will give you.

Unfortunately I used Shiply because they give the illusion that they only supply delivery drivers that have been vetted, where firms / drivers have been put through "a rigorous multi stage fraud, background check and verification screening process". This process supposedly includes a check on the insurance policies of the drivers to ensure they are fully protected should items be damaged, lost etc.

In December 2020 I located a delivery driver via Shiply with 85% approval. Please note that there is no way to determine what an excellent approval rate is on their website.

The driver arrived 2 days late. But I didnt argue because I wanted no stress and I wanted my items transported and couldn't find anyone at short notice. During the removal from the property I was vacating, the driver damaged the wooden floors because he moved the protective flooring I had put down to prevent any damage. When I made a complaint to him directly he told me that he would put a claim in with his insurance company.

During the drive from 1 property to the next his tyres burst. This was because he took 1 ton extra than was legally allowed. I looked at the paperwork he made me sign when he had loaded and he had listed 1 ton less. This meant he misled me from the beginning. He then charged me EUR 600 for the tyres!

Following the delivery, I found many items of my furniture had been damaged (this probably happened when the tyres burst). I contacted him and Shiply, together with supplying all relevant photos and receipts.

In total I am owed EUR 250 for the floor and EUR 668 for damaged furniture.

After 2 months of waiting for said insurance refund, I contacted the insurance company directly and was informed that no claims had been submitted and that they could not verify if a policy even existed.

I have contacted Shiply but they are not interested in assisting. They told me I should start legal proceedings! They do not have a complains team nor has any manager called me to discuss the situation despite my repeated requests.

How can they advertise themselves as a company that carries out "a rigorous multi stage fraud, background check and verification screening process" with checks on insurance documents as this clearly this does not appear to be the case at all.

They are misleading customers in to using their website on the premise that they are providing verified drivers which I have found to my detriment not to be true and has caused me a financial loss.
