Anybody else getting tired of the bait and switch nonsense they do these days? I ordered a couple of things on a Saturday. Immediately I got the auto respond email saying that my order would be delivered the next day. On that day I got another email titled Delivery Update telling me that it would be another day, possibly 2, before my order arrived. Why am I paying for Prime? More important, why send that first email knowing it is a lie and that they won't be honoring the 1 day delivery Prime promises? They ar elike every other company that performs as promised for a while and then once you are hooked they just do whatever they want knowing we won't quit Prime. Very disappointed.

UPDATE

As per tracking information, my package was in a city 29 miles from my home on Saturday. Sunday just showed "There was a delay". Today, Monday, that package is in a city 2.3 miles from where it was Saturday. It took 2 days for that package to move 2.3 miles? Right now that package is 24 miles from here. Why can't I just drive up and pick it up? More importantly, why did it move only 2.3 miles in 2 days?

I hired a guy to do a small flat roof. He sold himself well when we met, but when he came to do the job he brought along another guy who was a complete hack. It turned out the business owner was con man, just looking to con and scam people out of money. They did a horrible job, and in fact the next night it rained and the roof leaked worse than before they worked on it. In doing research I discovered that the guy is a felon, has done time in prison, has DUIs, domestic violence and felon in possession of a gun charges. As of this writing he has an open case and an active warrant. The police can't serve the warrant because he gave them a false address. I have posted a video of the roof leaking the day after they worked on it but removed the audio because of how much I cursed. He doesn't have a web page so I just put something there to fill the required field. You really would be smart to avoid this felon.

I hired Darrell to come in and redo a badly botched job. The guys he sent were extremely friendly and very good at their craft. The previous company did a horrible job, including removing my gutters (which did not have to happen), and then rehanging them improperly. Yoder's guys not only put on a proper roof, they helped me level the roof from underneath, fixing badly fastened joists the previous guys put in. They were top notch from front to back! And Darrell Yoder is a veteran, which is important to me. Veterans seem to bring home a sense of doing a job right, and this job was exactly that. A job done right. I highly recommend them.

I went to this place for the first time a couple of weeks ago based on some items listed on their web page. One in particular was tuna steaks. It was a 2 pack for $3.49. I did not read the label closely. When I went to cook the first one I saw that the use by date was 4-22. This is 1-23. This should have NEVER seen a shelf. I threw both bags in the trash rather than risk getting sick from long since expired food. They have a lot of off brands, a lot of crushed and torn packaging, dented can kind of stuff. Brands I have never heard of, many written in Spanish. There is a difference between cheap and inexpensive. This place has cheap stuff. I won't go there again.

I used their email support form to ask a very simple question about something that wasn't quite right with one of their mixers. This was not addressed in their minimalistic manual (in pdf form). Other than the auto reply saying "We got your question", I have not heard a word back from them. Today marks 14 days since I submitted that request. This is just a reflection on the horrible attitude that captive sellers have anymore. They know we need what they sell if we are going to be involved with music, whether they offer decent support or not, so they take the easy (cheaper) option and just not address user concerns. Horrible. They used to be a good company. They still make good products. The problem is that once they have your money they don't care about you anymore.

Before you share your banking info and give a 3rd party access to your banking and personal info, be aware that these kinds of apps do NOTHING for you that you can't do yourself. What makes your credit score bad is credit behavior. Thus, the reverse is true. Better behavior will result in your scores going up. If you have negative information on your report that is not accurate, YOU can write a letter (send it certified) to each credit bureau and request it be removed. If you have valid information that is bad, well, you did that and you can undo it. Don't buy stuff if you can't afford it. Pay your credit cards down to a point where you are using less than 10% of your credit and you will see improvement. These apps don't raise your score. YOU raise your score. Apply discipline to your spending habits and your score will go up without an app. Just remember that the more people that have access to your info, the higher the likelihood that there can be a breach and your info gets stolen. Possibly enough info for someone to steal your identity.

ALL of these "apps" that are advertising so heavily are nothing more than debt consolidation loans. They have a non refundable setup fee, they take your monthly payments and invest it in short term investments, and when your loan is repaid they keep the proceed from those investments as a "payoff fee".

I bought a bed. Initial email came on Aug 10th saying my delivery was Aug 11th. Based on that, I listed my existing bed on Craigslist. With no idea it would happen, it sold in 2 hours. To accommodate my customer I took it apart and put it on my patio for them to pick it up. "Knowing" that my new bed would be here the next day (as promised) I dropped my mattress on the floor and slept there, like a 19 year old kid in his dorm. I called them early in the morning on the 12th and was assured by a very pleasant young woman that my bed was on a palate in Duluth Georgia ready to be shipped, and that I would have it by end of day Aug 13th. It seems that the bed was NOT in Duluth Georgia (northeast of Atlanta) but in Arcadia California. I watched on FedEx tracking as it moved 300 miles at a time toward my home, where it was supposed to be delivered today. Well, today is the 17th and I will be sleeping on the floor one more night. They SHOULD be refunding my money and letting me keep the bed for what they put me through. I'm an old man with replaced joints and I have been crawling around on my floor for a week now. There are other, likely better, options.

EDIT: Between their incompetence and FedEx not doing their job, this bed was in 15 cities over 14 days before I got it. One leg from my home delivery area some moron at FedEx scanned it as a return and it went back in the direction of the source, which was in California. I was able to contact a real person at FedEx and they cut it off before it went all the way back. I bought this on Aug 8th. I finally got it on Aug 22nd. Wayfair SHOULD be refunding me and giving me this bed to make up for my having to sleep on a mattress laying on the floor for 2 weeks. They should also change their name to WayFAIL! Kelly Clarkson should be ashamed to endorse them.

Tip for consumers:
Think at least twice. There are other options.
