I have been in business for over 20 years. Usually my clients pay in cash ACH or check. I started doing business with a new client that wanted to pay by credit card. Signed up with Square, the absolute worse decision I have made in business. They took the payments from my customer and then told me that I'm not approved as a merchant. They are holding my payment for 90 days and not refunding me the cost of joining and paying for additional services.
Customer service hung up on me when I asked to speak to a manager.
