My firm purchased a large, B2B email list through Matthew James, Sr. Acct. Representative. We were assured the list was of high-quality, clean, and would have a bounce-rate of no more than 10-15%. When we attempted to mail these names our domain was quickly blacklisted and we had to stop the campaign after only a few thousand sends. We had a 68% bounce rate, 30% were hard-bounces. When Mr. James finally answered our emails regarding the toxic quality of the data he told us to just keep mailing them, giving no heed to our having been blacklisted. He then suggested we pay him an additional $2,000 and somehow he would get them delivered and 'show us a report'. They so far refuse to refund our money.
Update 10/2/2018:
We took these people to Court and won a judgement for 'False and Deceptive Business Practices'. They, of course, didn't appear. They advertise that they have offices in New York. It's a mail-drop. They are a foreign 'virtual' company. They're perpetrating FRAUD and I have the Court papers to prove it.
