I used Momondo (shame on them for not removing eDreams and Opodo) to purchase a flight from Maldives to Sri Lanka (1 hr long). I picked the cheapest pricing listed and purchased a flight for 2 people. Upon confirmation of booking, the next page in tiny print said "total price below". When I scrolled down it was TWICE AS MUCH as the price on the booking page. I called to cancel immediately and got a phony recording (they play endless games to avoid a person actually answering and I've audio got recordings, screenshots, emails, etc. to prove their embarassing, comical games.
I used the automated system to cancel since I knew I at least had "free same day cancellation for all your money back" according to the website (screenshots to prove it) and instead I got an auto email that I'd receive 80% of the flight price.
I'm telling you all, the games are endless. They change the subject when I said I was double charged so they can defer to all kinds of "legalese" about how my flight didn't quality for free same day cancellation... after first arguing that the reason I didn't get free same day cancellation was because I didn't cancel within 24 hours. As soon as I proved I canceled less than an hour from purchase they then said I didn't quality. Seriously, we need to start writing bad reviews on the travel sites that still allow eDreams and Opodo to show up in the searches. This is horrifying.
