I rented a brush cutter from Taylor Rental (Nova Equipment Corp.), in good faith, to use at a friends property. They don't take proper care/maintenance of their equipment and rent junk then expect the customer to take losses as a result. I had to make THREE round trips in a truck because of this to return the faulty equipment for repair. Each trip was 40 miles each way from the property to Farmington, being 80 miles round trip thus three trips due to defective equipment was 240 miles plus time and aggravation. The first time the manager, who was EXTREMELY RUDE, by the name of Al Stapley, said it was a problem with a faulty pull cord/recoil, which he replaced. The second trip he said the throttle spring was broken then the throttle cable. The third trip it was the belt that came off and wouldn't stay on. As a result, I was was not able to get my friends lot done after paying for the rental and was at a considerable loss of time and gas, not to mention all of the aggravation. I asked for a full refund plus what I had to spend in gas. After all of this, the manager, would only give me a PARTIAL refund! To say he was mentally unhinged would be an understatement, since when I insisted upon being made whole, he began to threaten me and told me to leave the store! Do yourself a favor and NEVER rent anything from Taylor Rental…you'll be glad you didn't!

According to the numerous posted bad reviews and my own personal experience, whereas I was sent a part that did not fit the vehicle it was advertised to fit and rockauto.com would not refund me in full/send me a prepaid return label, they are violating (in MA.) the Consumer Protection Act, Chapter 93A, Section 7 regarding fraudulent, unfair or deceptive business practices. (similar laws in other states). Customers need to start filing complaints to the Attorney General Office and Better Business Bureau who will investigate this company and take the appropriate action. They are criminals and thieves putting their failings upon the customer and need to be stopped in order to protect the public!

Tip for consumers:
DON’T EVER USE ROCKAUTO.COM unless you want to get aggravated and ripped off! They are CRIMINALS AND THIEVES and should be put out of business by the Attorney General’s Office and Better Business Bureau, to which customers should lodge complaints.

Products used:
None. Part didn’t fit as advertised for vehicle. Rockauto.com would not send me a prepaid shipping label to return part nor give me a full refund, (no refund received to date), although it was totally their fault/responsibility for sending a part that did not fit (false advertising/fraudulent, unfair and deceptive business practices).
