My mother enrolled me in Kumon when I was in second grade, and even though I've never liked doing Kumon that much, I recognized how massive of an advantage Kumon gave me when I was in fifth grade. In fifth grade, I was already doing seventh-grade math and some basic eighth-grade math. Right now, I am in sixth grade and I am currently doing tenth and eleventh-grade mathematics all thanks to Kumon. When I think of Kumon now, I can't think of any bad things about it other than it repeating the same worksheets over and over again for a long time in level F, which wasted alot of time, but I assumed it was probably just so we could do better in higher levels that require a solid foundation of level F.
