My order came in good condition and was exactly as described. I placed the order 11/27, on Cyber Monday. But by 12/7, I still hadn't heard anything about the order being processed or shipped. I noticed the website said orders are guaranteed by 12/24 and I began to worry.

It's reasonable to receive it that late if you order at the midpoint in December, but not if you order at the end of November. Lots of people travel to family at Christmas. That's what we do, so I needed it as a gift well before Christmas Eve. I'm sure that's not unusual.

Anyway, by 12/8, I reached out through the website's messenger app and asked about the status. The next day I got an email the order had shipped. That might have been a coincidence and it might have shipped whether I messaged or not. But I honestly think, I averted a disappointment by that follow up.

So, while I am very pleased with the product and the delivery, I do think Vintage needs better communication and to be more prompt in processing and shipping orders, especially at holiday time. It shouldn't take 10 days to just hear back about the status.

Right after contacting them, my order shipped. I also got a second email. So somebody was checking and responding to messages as promised.

Reason I chose this business:

Yes, I would recommend it. The order arrived in good condition and was exactly as described. But I’d recommend ordering everything well before 11/27 even though that’s when the Cyber Monday sales are. It took ten days before I heard anything about the status and only after I contacted them. So, I’d say order early and don’t hesitate to contact them and you’ll be fine.

I ordered a book as a Christmas gift. When I placed the order, I received an email that the book was on back order and was expected Dec 2. I heard nothing else. But when I went to check the status, I found out they are not getting it until December 26.

There was no way to cancel it online so I called a customer service number, where I was told they couldn't cancel it because I had to call a different number. I did and got a recording that all lines are busy.

I went to Bas Bleu's website and they had a chat feature which also was busy but they suggested I leave an email, so I did canceling the order. I also looked closely at the email confirmation of my order and noticed it said in fine print that I could change my order by replying to their email, so I asked to cancel the order and requested confirmation. I have not heard anything yet.

Based on what I've seen here I am going to aggressively follow up so that I don't get charged for this book, which I've already ordered for $7 less on Amazon. I also don't want to have to return it at my expense in January.

I will never used this company again.

Tip for consumers:
If you are ordering a time sensitive item, like a Christmas gift, stay away from this company.

I don’t know what their policies are. I ordered a book I have not gotten. That’s the issue. It’s easy to order and extremely hard to cancel and they are unreliable when it’s a time sensitive gift.
