In 20 + years of visiting Outback Steakhouse in Opelika, Alabama, I have never been so disappointed! Friday was my mother-in-law's birthday and we went to celebrate. We didn't want to ruin her night so we did not put up a big fuss but attention should be given to the cook and manager on duty December 16,2022@ 6 pm.
We began with an appetizer that was delivered overcooked and dripping with oil. We were told that the entree that was ordered could not be cooked because they did not take "something out to thaw". We ordered again, the waitress then returned and said, "we can fix what you first ordered after all!" So we waited… and waited… after finally receiving our entree, it was half the size that it was advertised and we sent it back!
We arrived at 5:45 pm and left at 8:30, very dissatisfied and hungry. The bill was $40 for the appetizer and drinks and we tipped the waitress.
Out of pocket $55+ with an empty stomach! Nephew's girlfriend had to send her steak back (MR when ordered WD). Brother-in-law sent his steak back overcooked (burnt)! FYI: customer service, satisfaction, and meal presentation is VALUABLE!
The manager never come to speak with us, offer anything to complete our meal, or try to make it right! Contacted Outback through the portal with a reply message they would return my message within 24-48 hours… still waiting… almost double that time frame!
The waitress and the bread was the only good thing about this experience!@OutbackSteakhouse you need to do better and retrain the manager and cook on duty 12-16-2022@ 6pm
