This may be a strange site to review, but I have literally used it hundreds of times. The interface is clean, and it does just exactly what I need it to do. Visually it is a little blah, but it accomplishes precisely what I want it to without crashing every time.

This is a great site. I was surfing it to see if they had any positions open for one of my daughter's friends who is a recent graduate, and was just very impressed with the elegant simplicity. Easy to navigate--there is no higher praise for a website, in my opinion. I found everything I wanted to know, easily. I LOVE that. Visually, it is very attractive, though I do wish the font were bigger. Also, as it is the site of an ad agency, I sort of expect it to be attractive.

They also employ very cool and cutting edge techniques to create a dynamic site with the logos in motion on the home page, but they do it SO WELL. It is not a case of doing something spiffy just because you CAN, but serves to showcase the talents in their firm without going over the top. SO well done.

This is not the worst government site I have seen, but it is close. I don't know if it does any good to review government sites, but it is worth a try. Visually, the site is not too bad, though the text is WAY too small and even without an official evaluation I can tell you that there is not enough contrast for it to be accessible to people with visual impairments. The number one issue with this site is organization. If you don't know where to look for information, you are NOT going to find it. I was searching for data on special education statistics in the state of Michigan, and finally just bailed to a straight Google search. It took me into a page on the SOM site, but I would NEVER have found it by surfing through the site.

I am quite web savvy, and can get what I want, usually, if it is out there. But this site is BAD. This site SHOULD be the very definition of accessible, for everyone, regardless of web skills. Frankly, it is useless to most Michigan citizens.

I am a professional writer, and I have used this site many times in the past as a completely reliable, well written, and beautifully organized source of information. Coverage of the topics is in depth and thorough, yet easy for the lay person to understand. The writing is straight-forward and excellent, which serves to convey complex information in an effective way. The site does not push an agenda for cosmetic dentists, and in fact offers invaluable advice on how to be sure you are choosing a reliable dentist. Outstanding site.

I took several courses through this site, and though they were not the MOST professional ones I have ever taken, they were rock solid. The author of the site (or whoever answered my email when I had a problem) was immediately responsive, and when I had trouble accessing some of the course material, she gave me a voucher for another class. Sometimes sites will give you a voucher that doesn't work, but this one did. Course material was a little less professionally put together (visually, not content wise) than I was used to (some pixelated graphics and weird fonts) but the material itself was excellent. Rates were VERY reasonable. Courses through this site are a very very solid value.

This site is certainly no secret, but most people may only be aware of the blog. The author's funny, insightful writings are more than enough to ensure regular visits, but the other features of the site are so incredibly well done, too. The pictures are stunning. The recipes are well written and beautifully photographed. The links are thoughtful and useful. In short, this is a fantastic sight, possibly the finest of its kind on the web.
