The way how Grove tricks customers in subscription speaks of unethical business practices. When you create an account they mention that you will never run out of stuff with a subscription model. You would assume that you can choose to subscribe or place a regular order. But it's not the case, once you place an order, you have signed up for a subscription. And it is never mentioned during the check out process.
This lack of transparency seems intentional. I find it very unethical and I can't trust a company like that.
As a person who worked on a subscription service for one of the nation-wide retailers, I'm sad to see those bad business practices.
I think one day they will be sued for that. Would be similar to a law suit against Audible.

The default schedule is every month, but the delivery frequency is totally flexible and up to you. We do offer regular one-off ordering options too! We send reminder texts and emails giving you the option to edit or cancel your order before it is set to ship.
