They are not a good company to do business with. One issue is that they do not report the payments you make as they should. My credit reports show nothing past May 2023. When I disputed this, they updated June & July with "-". Here it is 6 months later, and they haven't updated anything. So now, Credit Karma comes up and tells me I missed a payment when I pay early every month. I'm tired of disputing them constantly because they can't do their job. On top of that they have super high rates around 25%. The person below who commented on their sales practices was 100% correct in what they said. In my case, I was sent an actual notice from them saying I was pre-approved to refinance my loan to get additional cash out. When I filled out additional information, the soft inquiry said I was approved. It literally gave me 8 or 10 offers to choose from. I selected the best offer for me. When I submitted it, a hard inquiry was done, and then they denied me and made my credit score drop. They are a terrible company. I would never do business with them again. I have managed to raise my score a lot on my own. I literally closed every single credit card I had, except for 2. Despite what financial experts tell you, that worked for me. I can't wait to be done with this place.

EBay has recently changed their platform to require a single payment method before they allow an individual to send an offer or place a bid on an item. Forcing someone to choose a single payment method in order to bid or send an offer only narrows payment choices. I normally use Afterpay or Zip at checkout the majority of the time so I can combine purchases into one payment, and then split that payment into 4 installments. I buy a lot of collectible dolls/vintage antiques that cost a chunk. Because of this it is nice to be able to split a purchase into installments. Another negative caveat to this new payment policy is the credit card implication. If an individual starts buying multiple items/starts making a bunch of individual purchases it will set off credit card security protocols. I have had this happen. They think your credit card has been stolen and they flag it so it stops working. Then you have to call during business hours and prove your identity so they take the flag off, which is a lot of hassle. It's more sensible to plan and combine everything into one payment.
I could understand eBay making an individual pay ahead of time if they have a negative account history. If they bid or place offers and then never pay it makes sense. But I have a 100% eBay rating. I have had my account on eBay for 22 years. There has never been an issue with my account. For me, all this new policy will do is irritate me and encourage me to not use eBay for bidding or placing offers. As a result, sellers will be negatively affected if their items do not sell or they sell for less. EBay will lose customers, and it will be their own fault because of their new policy. All this new policy will do for me is encourage me to stop using eBay and shop elsewhere.
