I have been a Site Ground customer for 7 years! I have my account hooked up to an old email and didn't realize that my credit card wasn't up to date because I bought a two-year plan. Two years ago. My site went down when it expired and I guess they delete data after 30 days. It's been 38 days and I started crying because my site was totally gone from their platform. I couldn't even figure out how to chat with someone because there was no site to inquire about. I managed to find a link to chat with them and I was told they had 2 backups but that they really do delete all the data over time. I paid $30 for the engineers to put it back up and it's supposed to be up in less than a day. I am SO GRATEFUL it wasn't deleted. I wish they gave you more time and to not delete all your data - especially since I've been a customer for so long. I'm sure people don't renew all the time because of credit cards. I think it should be like 3 months where the site is down, but not deleted from the backend of your account. But I am grateful they didn't delete everything. Hoping everything works fine when it goes back up. Site ground customer service is always so so nice and easy to work with. My site is always fast and never had any issues.
