I am writing a 1st review about Savoy 16 in Savoy because I was shocked at how the staff were treating a customer. Tonight (June 9,2023 at about 7:20pm) a woman came out of the theater to make a complaint about the screen being so dark she couldn't see the movie and asked for her money to be refunded. I was walking up from behind her and overheard the conversation with the manager. It had caught my attention because the manager, who was facing me, was clearly agitated and being rude. I walked past, but waited on the periphery, because there were three employees (all clearly not happy) ganged up against the one woman. The manager was becoming more and more verbally aggressive (even through the woman was maintaining her composure), so I walked over to stand next to the woman, to provide moral support. Throughout the confrontation, the woman was direct, polite, and respectful. The staff were not. Ironically, they were accusing her of being rude, and threatened her with calling the police. I gave the woman my name and number in case she needed my testimony and suggested she telephone a higher level of management for resolution. I walked with her away from the staff, because I could see she was shaken. What a horrible example of customer service. The theater has lost more than one customer today.
