I'm a quite disappointed. I bought three months of Amazing clubs for one of my sons as a Christmas gift (breakfast club, fruit club, pasta club). He likes food, he's a good cook. I thought he'd enjoy these. The first one arrived at the end of January: the Breakfast Club.
The cost for the three clubs was over $180, which averages out to $60 per club. I was expecting he'd receive something comparable to a $60 meal in a restaurant, or what he might be able to buy for this amount at the grocery store.
The breakfast club box included: 8 oz. Of maple syrup, 2 oz. Of coffee (from the looks of it, enough for at most 3 cups of coffee), 4 oz. Of bacon, a 12 oz. Pancake mix, along with a flyer describing the offerings in breathless prose.
Frankly, these don't seem worth $60 to me. To buy these items in a grocery store, I'd expect to pay $25-$30 at most - half what I paid for the breakfast club box. If a meal consisting of these cost $60 at a restaurant it would be a rip-off.
When I contacted Amazing Clubs to report my experience I received a boilerplate response that amounted to nothing. No explanation for why the package received was so unsatisfactory, no indication how they were going to remedy the situation.
I hope the next two months' gift boxes - the fruit club and the pasta club - are more satisfactory. It's not very nice to feel you've given someone a cheap gift.
