I submitted an old resume for a tune-up. It had all the information needed, but I just needed a little polishing, and a couple of updates, i. E. change of address, phone numbers.
What I ended up with, was a resume that looked like a sixth grader's attempt at professional writing. There were grammar problems (tense did not always agree), "strong points" were worded awkwardly; "good at prioritizing".
Some job skills were missing, and a skill I do not possess was added.
Even though I submitted current contact info, they still used the old address.
The price included a cover letter, and follow up thank you letters. I never received either, even after reminding them, three different times.
To top things off, the writer asked for an extension, twice.
At first, they offered to have my resume re-written by a more qualified writer.
I was under the impression I was hiring a qualified writer, to begin with.
After contacting resumeplanet.com, and voicing my dissatisfaction with their product, they sent me an email, claiming they reviewed my complaints, and admitted that I had valid reason to be upset. They were willing to offer me an 80 percent refund.
80 percent.
They are 100 percent responsible for the unacceptable product, and breach of contract, but they are only willing to refund 80 percent.
The product(s) are dismal, and their refund policy smells like a political scandal.
It is in your best interest to avoid resumeplanet.com, and find a reputable company that takes responsibility of your time and money, 100 percent.
