Took a chance and purchased a life x. For one of their applications... presentation on site is such that it leads you to believe that you'll receive access to the various widgets they support. WRONG.
Their applications are independently licensed from each other, and while I've not elected to spend $$$ for every single one, I've looked into several now and their functionality is EXTREMELY limited... Best way to describe it would be to take something like photoshop, hack up ALL of its features and then charge FULL PROGRAM PRICE for a redistro of each and every one of those "chunks."
So, what you get for that $90-$150 is tears worthy. A huge, mindboggling, sum spent for what amounts to a desktop widget.
Were ALL of their applications included in the above licensing fee, my complaints would evaporate, and I would even promote them as a bargain for the cost. But as it stands... Case in point. Were you buy licensing to access all of their applications you'd spend something to the tune of $2,000 to $3,500 (single private vs single business & with tax). Compare that to 10 years of Adobe Pro Licensing for a single user (equivalent cost). Service, support, features & functionality... These guys are so far out of their weight class they can't even compete...
As far as I'm concerned this outfit is a parasite, their "services" are in no way worth the costs... Being a huge proponent of honest & ethical business, reasonable adherence to FMV, the 30% and what not, I'm forced to view this company as one that is as close to being an actually scam site as humanly possible with out tripping right over into legitimate fraud...
Buyer be ware. Avarice at its best.
PS: to the comment from their "rep" below. I am 100% talking about Softorbits. Also, when attempting to do buisness with a given market or population it would conventionally be considered basic/common sense to understand the jargon and lingo they use... They guys... **facepalm** Zero... given. Life x, life sub, perm license, etc etc etc etc.etc etc... **sigh** do they not seen the actual recipet I uploaded!?!?!?!?
It seems that you left the wrong review. SoftOrbits do not have a "life x" product.
