I stayed at Marriott in Alpharetta, Georgia on October 09,2023. I walked in to the front desk with my Granddaughter and the lady was very nice she had an incredible personality which was cheerful, inspiring, professional and optimistic. For identification; she was white. She showed us where the pool, elevators and restaurant were. Everything was very clean except the pool it was enormously clean. I have never seen anything like it.

When I reserved the room online at Marriott.com it stated that it was a corner room and displayed a large window which is what I wanted for my one-year-old Grandson who loves to look out the window and experience the world. The window was small and blocked by a tree and this room only had one window not two like most corner rooms have.

We went to the restaurant and waited for awhile to be seated. A short man who spoke poor English told us that we couldn't be seated in the restaurant since some employees didn't show up to work. Therefore, my wife, 3 yr old, 1 yr old and myself were seated in the bar at a table that I am 6'2" man couldn't eat well because the chair sits so low. Everybody was quite loud and drinking like they should be in a bar. My family should have at least been seated in a quiet family environment. The food was horrible and it took over an hour to receive it. It cost me $120 to have a horrible experience.

We checked out around noon and remembered around 5:00 pm that my 3-year-old Granddaughter's very favorite star magnet was still in the room on the thermostat. I drove back to the Marriott to talk with the cheerful lady however, she was busy so I talked with the other lady at the front desk. For identification; she was not white. I told her about the magnet she stated that I was the last one in the room and the maids had not cleaned it. She stated the maintenance man was sick and didn't show up to work so she couldn't get it that night. I asked if I could get it, she said no. She would leave the maids a note and call me on Wednesday. While I was walking out the door the maintenance man that was supposed to be at home sick said hi to me. He knew me since he gave me a working TV remote the night before. No body called me by 6:00 pm the next day so I called and no body knew anything about the magnet including the maids. The lady told me she would get it and give me a call back, she didn't. The next day a man said he would check and give me a call right back, he didn't. If that front desk lady would have let me go up and get it the first night my Granddaughter wouldn't still be asking me for it. Employees except the cheerful front desk lady, pool staff and maids just don't care.

Clean, Restaurant is horrible, Employees just don't care

Marriott advertised a corner room with a large window. After all my business trips over 45 years I expect a corner room to have windows on both sides this one had only one small window blocked by a tree. The room was clean, the linen was newer but the chair was worn out. What happened to the Marriott name meaning plushness, up-to-date furniture and good quality happy employees treating you like a customer not a hassle. What happened to the bellhop. A Hotel named Marriott used to mean something but now a hotel with Marriott on top of the building means less than Hotel 6 quality and service.

I sent in a review requested by Fairfield Inn and Suites Savannah I-95 S as follows: "It is just a place to spend the night, there is no reason to come back. The towels were raggedy the sheets were not white any longer. The door just missed the stool by a hair. The whole hotel was small. When I was walking into the breakfast area, I hit the juice machine since it blocked 7" of the entry way. The eggs circles all stuck to each other and the pan the milk was warm, the tables were dirty and the lady working in the breakfast area was dressed like a homeless person, she looked as if she had not cleaned herself for a week with her greasy hair. I could not look at her and eat my frozen food". Then Jim Raddatz the GM sent me his review of me which is: "
Dear valued guests, Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts about your stay. I appreciate your review. I will share your message with the correct leadership team. I do want to add however that belittling someone that is working hard, for guests such as yourself, based on their appearance is tacky and disgusting behavior.". Was I supposed to lie in my review or tell the truth as I see it and she was not working hard. It is obvious that Mariott cannot or will not hire people that value their customers or can take criticism without retaliation. Needless to say, don't stay at any Mariott or Fairfield Inn.

Tip for consumers:
If the management doesn’t care about their guests, superiors or career then this hotel will show it in every way. Don’t subject yourself to this treatment or anguish.

My room was never cleaned the four days I was there. There was trash, dirt, tape, bloody gauze, bandages and more on the floor the entire time I was there. My food was never removed the entire stay. My bathroom stuck like vomit, urine and feces. I asked twice for soap for a shower and never received it. My blanket was completely worn out with holes, my sheet was dirty. The lady who brought in the food I never ate was always filthy and smelled strongly of pipe smoke which made me vomit. The staff never cleaned their hands in my room before touching me they only cleaned them after. I had earplugs in my ears all the time but they didn't help the nurses laughed and joked very loudly all day and night. The biggest joke was how easy the old people could be played into misery. I asked for help many times and never received it. The nurses had very little time for me. They rarely came in except at night time. One nurse would never answer my questions except for sarcastic responses. On my third day of hell, I asked her if I can leave the hospital she responded with "stupido what do you think". When I asked this question, I had a 102 plus temperature, I haven't eaten in over 8 days, I've been vomiting, I have been laying in the hospital bed with only my underwear not even sheets for three days at a room temp of 66. I kept asking for some sort of flavored ice I never received any. The nurses always stated they would do something for me but they never did.
My wife stayed until late afternoon on the 1st day and she constantly had to track down the nurses and keep asking for the same things. My wife became sick and stayed home the rest of my stay. This experience could make a movie. I had a high temp, I was vomiting, I have not eaten in 9 days by check out, I was laying on the plastic bed with only my underwear no covers and the doctors were giving me way too much of my meds of which the nurse tricked me into taking too much. I was extremely weak and knew I couldn't do anything about the abuse. I will never return to this Hospital ever again.

It has relatively decent reserves but they will not allow you to get an incredible deal. The Buyers Premium is normal which is usually around 21%. The shipping costs seem to be a mystery until you are committed. With the reserves and the other bidders, it is hard to buy at a good price. However, if you are buying for yourself you can get some good deals.

I have bought 5 items from Goodwill online. Four of them stated they turn on but didn't know if they worked. All 5 didn't turn on none of them worked. The last item was a VCR for $10 when I saw the $15 shipping charge, I contacted the auction by email and asked the person if I could just pay for the VCR and donate it back to Goodwill they said yes. Every time I tried to enter an auction it stated in red letters, I owe for the VCR that I paid for and that I would be kicked out of future auctions if I didn't pay. I then paid the extra $21 they shipped me the VCR that stated it would turn on and of course it didn't turn on. I don't believe anything from Goodwill works. DON'T BUY FROM Goodwill.com! If the volunteers and paid labor are too lazy to plug in the product then they should get another job.

Tip for consumers:
Nothing works don't use Goodwill online. Go to your local stores and try it before you buy it.

I ordered a NEW fan which took 5 days to deliver with Amazon's 2-day shipping guaranty. I had to click on a box stating that it was okay for it to be delivered in the factory box. The box was a completely beat up with 4 holes and lots of tape trying to hold it together. It was delivered in a plain brown box. The fan parts where just thrown into the box and were not wrapped in protective plastic. I took the base out first and it was dirty. So, I tried to clean it, the garbage wouldn't come off and the hole in the middle to put the post into was full of mud. The whole fan was filthy. It was used or somebody used it in a flooded area and then sent it back to Amazon and their return inspection team just happen to miss it.

Tip for consumers:
Not to use Amazon anymore
