Sent in my father's 1960 era Baylor watch for service. Quote for a complete service and crystal replacement was $493.00. I have only worn the watch for approximately 60 hours and it stopped working. Local watch repair shop opened it up.

Screw holding down the manual wind gear came off and gear plus screw free floating in the case. In addition, the watch is missing the two case screws which hold the movement down to the case and the crown stem is rusted.

I complained and the company replied "watch is out of warranty, not our problem"

Do not send your watch to these crooks. Go local, find someone honest who you can trust.

I had my dad's old Baylor watch. It didn't run and didn't have a crystal. Watch Repairs fixed the broken parts and installed a new crystal. I am satisfied with the work, the only thing that bothers me is that the watch face was not polished when they reinstalled the crystal. Marks on the face could have been polished out, I paid them to polish the watch, but they didn't take care of the face. Other that that everything else is fine, repair took about two months.
