I booked a car in Maui over Thanksgiving months ahead. After the fires there all the prices had dramatically reduced. I asked Wisecars to cancel so I could rebook something cheaper and they offered instead a much better rate that I could not match elsewhere. I checked this was an all inclusive rate and they confirmed in writing that it was and there was nothing to pay at collection. When I tried to collect the car Thrifty said there was $350 to pay and after we argued for a while they said they would match the quoted price and I collected the car, thinking we were good. Of course when I returned the car Thrifty just billed my credit card $350 and their support team were not interested to help me. I went back to Wisecars and raised a case. I took them 8 weeks to complete it but I got a refund for the over charge. There are plenty of issues with car rental companies and although I could have preferred not to have any issue I am impressed with Wisecars honoring the rate they quoted and will happily book with them in the future.
