My wildest dreams would ever imagination what took place on Jan. 9th as Onlinebookclub made my book LABLANCE FISH TALES TWO book of the day. The reviews generated will be of great help as I try to write a third book.
About the author: Peter LaBlance
I was born October 1948, in Charlevoix, Michigan and entered this world as a very sick baby, receiving the Catholic last rites twice before going home. I am the sixth of ten children, born to Emerald and Helen LaBlance. Our family has a long history in the commercial fishing business on the Great Lakes. I am a proud member of the Mackinaw Band of Chippewa Indians.who were adopted into the Sault Ste Marie tribe of Chippewa Indians.
I was forced to leave the business because of health problems. Besides commercial fishing, I have had jobs such as milk and bread truck driver, labor at a sugar beet plant, construction, medical office manager and finally, working for the gaming commission of Saginaw Chippewa's Soaring Eagle Casino and resort. This is my second book reliving memories of mine and my brothers/sister. Hope I was able to put you on the fish tug with me.
This book is for all the commercial fisherman who chose this profession, as a way of life. I'm especially thankful to my family who experience these tales every day.
As with my first book LABLANCE FISH TALES, I must thank my wife, Deborah and granddaughter Jordan for all the re-reading, editing and formatting.
