I can not wait until I finally have this thing paid off. It would be impossible to tell you everything that has happened with them over the years - but, I will do my best to give a synopsis.
1. Their website - designed to deceive. They have two types of balances - the 1 that is accruing interest, and the other that is interest free for 6 months if your purchase is over $200. When you make a payment, if you want your payment to go to the interest bearing balances, which I do - then you have to call them on the telephone (good luck getting through the automated system), and tell them verbally what you want done; otherwise your payment will go toward the non interest bearing amounts first - so they can continue to rack up interest on your other balances for as long as possible.
2. If you go to the tab for "Promotional Balances," it looks as though they are also showing you the interest bearing balances, but they are not. The amounts that you are seeing are not a summary of ALL interest bearing balances. I found that out the hard way.
3. In trying to get a straight answer about how much was still fully outstanding in interest bearing balances, I was told to check my jprevious statements. Interesting, considering the "activity" tab for your account summary will sometimes show the adjustments to interest bearing and non interest bearing balances. Sometimes.
4. Which brings me to the latest saga - if you want documentation that you've requested your payments to go toward one balance or another, forget it. For a while, I was using "messages" tab to try to get help. I guess they finally got tired of my calling them out on their "inconsistencies" because now they refuse to do anything, stating that they don't do this or that - when they have clearly done this or that in the past.
There's so many things that I could cite - but, the bottom line is that these are people who are deliberately and knowingly screwing other people over - working for these corporate blood suckers who are using them to do their dirty work. We all have to work. I get it - but, don't lie. Apologize - do something, but don't lie to me.
