The CRPG Addict is an excellent blog going through CRPGs in chronological(as much as possible) order. It has as of time of writing, completed almost every CRPG from 1975-1992 and is still active, usally updated every three days or so. I am not sure why the other reviews are so negative, but to combat some misinformation: no articles about games are hidden behind the patron, really only status updates. So all the content about games is 100% still free. He does get political from time to time, and is definatly liberal, but I would say only 1 in 20 posts have some overtly political content, and even then its usallly a small, (but truly unwarranted) joke that I think can be easily passed over in favor of the otherwise generally good writing and research( almost academic level). As for silencing critics, I am not sure where the other reviewer is coming form. CRPG addict actually tends to leave very negative anonymous comments about his blog up for all to see, despite the fact anonymous comments are technically against his rules. He can however be cantankerous when responding to comments, however. Once again, it is not something that hurts the quality of the rest of his writing and coverage, the breath of it just overwhelms any other similar project by a single person.
