I was travelling in TN June 2022. (I am from Ont, Canada) I ended up with a code on my 2017 Mercedes GLA 250 indicating my brake pads needed replacement. I contacted Midas in Nolensville Pk, Nashville and arranged to have pads and rotors replaced. I brought the car in service was done by the end of the day. Now March, 2024, I'm driving home and hear a clunk, my brake pedal drops to the floor, I'm running on half a brake system. I took the car to the nearest brake service garage(as the car was unsafe to drive). The technician had to replace the right rear caliper. He said 1 of my brake caliper bolts were not torqued. Leading to excessive caliper movement, the outer pad to fall off and the caliper piston to over travel and dump brake fluid. He replaced the caliper and the rear pads. The rotors were perfect. There are on 15k miles on the car since Midas did the brakes. I called Midas in Nolensville and spoke to Connor and explained what happened. He promised to call me back after he consulted with his manager and didn't. I called back again, the same thing again. I am out $700 cdn, because Midas Nolensville TN didn't torque a bolt on my brake calipers.
