Spotify is a way to listen to music and include a social networking aspect to it as well. I personally don't like how everything and all sorts of apps and websites are being linked into Facebook, because I don't like "allowing application to post on my behalf." Being that i'm particular about what I post and what shows up on Facebook, that is one downfall for spotify for me. As far as the functionality and music selecting algorithm developed by the site, I'm impressed. There is a great selection of music, it is easy to manipulate and maneuver through the songs, artists and pages. All in all it is a good application with room for improvement and a good presence in networking.

Pandora is a superstar. I like the method of selection and the control that you have with some other music streaming applications, but the amount of music and variety of channels and genre's, as well as the updatability of their database. The mobile app and the option to pay to opt out of ads is a plus. These are things that come with the territory of being a leader in the game. It's not my favorite music streaming website out there, but it is easy to use, well known, fresh, streamlined and all in all a good product packaged well.

Playlist now is an interesting twist on the normal music streaming format. It's sort of like an iTunes genius, as it takes an algorithm of related songs based on beats per minute, genre, artist, etc. The cool thing about it is that you can initially start the playlist not only by a specific song or genre, but also by the type of activity you are engaging in, thus creating a variable soundtrack to your life. The playlist is generated and is easily managed. All in all I think this is a creative cool application. It's not quite as sophisticated with as much music as some of the more popular music streaming sites, but all in all, good stuff.
