OK, origin have given me the best router they have, and also done some magic thier end? Honestly it's at best, OK! Our house runs on WiFi, fridge, tumble dryer, tv's, pc's, laptops, phones, security, bla bla bla, it's coping slowly, in the annex we run bt, awesome continuously, so as I said origin coping but when covid is over we host students, so then there will be approximately 20 people on WiFi plus the house, I DONT HOLD ANY HOPE FOR ORIGIN! But hope they prove me wrong, we are about half way through the contract which origin make impossible to leave without paying an obscene amount of money, so you are stuck! Unless you are loaded, Keep that in mind when choosing, origin have increased their prices... still a great price But rubbish service, customer care etc. So in summary origin are cheap about 2/3 to 1/2 the price of bt now! But will cause you untenable amount of stress, for eventually getting a OK service, BT (that we run in annex so can give a perfect comparison) Bt awesome, now that is probably because they built the whole internet system that all companies uses/rents from them, if I was told what I know now I would not waste my hard earned wages on origin broadband, please please don't waste your money and blood pressure. Stay safe!

I have tried to remedy on going problems but to no avail, stay away they are useless, next is my last email with them, (cut and paste)
Hi Katey,

Thanks for getting in touch, its a step forward in the right direction hopefully!
OK, I have 2 phone lines at my property, 1 in the annex and 1 in the house. The annex is still running BT Internet, and the house is running Origin. They both use the same cable from the exchange to our house, then the cable splits, to both property's.
As Origin WiFi is so abysmal I have connected BT boosters to the annex Bt router, I am getting an average of 40gb from this at approx 20m from annex.
If I stand next to the Origin router with the same devices then I'm lucky to average at 10gb and constant drops, which is awesome when trying to watch TV programmes.
If it is true that all calls are recorded then if one was to go through the recorded transcripts of the sales person whom sold me Origin, it was clear that I was told Origin will beat or better BT! Oh! How wrong!.
I have had a chat with the tech team and tried different channels as suggested, and I have also checked the gb speed hard wired which is great, but this is 2020, everything is WiFi, phones, fridge, printer, TV, laptops, tumble dryer, etc, etc,
So I would just like what I was promised, nothing less! I was told I have the best you have, which I asked for, so, does this mean origin are not that great? Now if this is the case then fine, end my contract and let me go, but I'm not prepared to pay £400 odd pounds to leave the contract, when you are not supplying what your sales person has promised.
Its a bloody pain, but I can do reviews every week or so, I would rather not! I would like whats promised or let me go no strings attached.
