I get hooked on their promotions and end up buying these vouchers that deeply discount their photobooks. As a result, I have made and purchased three of them. Each one has had quality issue, that resulted in them being redone several times. This was due to printer error (missing pages and/or pictures) or the quality of the book, not by me.
The lay-flat book, which has cardboard-like pages, literally feels like it is falling apart in your hands, with pages skewed and out of alignment. The pictures rendered darkly and on a matte finish, they are hard to see. Picaboo tried to say this was due to brightness and color differences on my monitor, and that I should adjust my pictures with filters to compensate for it. This, however, is not true... I have not had an issue with other books or other sites. It is their software and printing process that is a fault. I noticed that when adding frames to the pictures, that the entire page darkens.
I will, say however, that their customer service has been prompt and good to resolve the issues. They have reprinted the books or refunded the money without issue. If you don't mind spending the extra time re-doing your books several times, and trust that their customer service remains good, then go for it. Their classic lay-flat book is pretty good once they get it done right.
