About Me

Senior Citizen with too much time on my hands. Started my business straight out of high school. Introduced computers to my business with a Radio Shack TRS80 even before the hard drive was invented, a portable cassette player was the storage device of the day. I began programming in "Basic" When Apple introduced the GUI I purchased a Mac and began programming "Apple Soft" By the time Bill Gates introduced windows, I became more interested in the hardware side and left most of the coding behind.

How I Can Help

Most young folks think that every day they wake up a day smarter, yet every day us elders wake up we're a day dumber. Life is so much better with a well-balanced mixture of Education, Experience, Knowledge, and an OPEN MIND to learn something new every day. THAT'S HOW I CAN HELP to share. One day while traveling through the Florida panhandle I came across this memorable sign. FOR SALE! ALMOST NEW, RARELY USED BRITANNICA ENCYCLOPEDIAS no longer needed Son knows everything. POOR HIM!:-)

I have written many reviews, most of them positive, I have never written a review where I could not find anything positive to say about a service or product. Sadly, I honestly cannot say anything positive about TaxiAdmin. This is a SaaS company that looks great on paper but the reality is totally different.

The UI really looks like a remake of an old DOS page, archaic and visually unappealing. We signed up for the 1 week FREE trial/demo period, which was extended to 2 weeks. Over that 2 week period, the Account Exec/Support person assigned to me dedicated less than two hours of so called setup and training, this was administered through ANYDESK but mostly WhatsApp text messages. After we exhausted the second week, still nothing worked well enough to start live testing until Google Map Support came into the picture. This system really captured my interest and honestly the startup price was right! Minimal risk. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, I paid the requested US129.00 for an additional month of service. This also included the monthly fee for the branded the Driver App. This was only payable through Payoneer which should have been another red flag. After paying, March 23rd the system was installed on my computer with all the restrictions removed, 5 days passed with no contact or progress. Totally frustrated, I requested a refund. He then came on WhatsApp with promises but at the end of the day, still provided less than another hour of setup and support. The most irritating part was his attitude "I give you our platform your figure it out! " Let me tell you, If you're not a rocket scientist or software engineer you're in deep poop! As of this writing " almost 5 weeks in" we're no closer to live testing than we were on day one. The system is full of bugs! Some will freeze up your system. Many of the forms, pop-ups, and directions still display in Ukrainian, Russian or Belarusian language, Imagine how frustrating that could be if English is your native tongue. In his mind, there's a legitimate reason for every fault or bug in the system. The online booking form is the best example I can give you, something as simple as a field for the passenger's name is nonexistent, In our 30 years in the passenger transportation business, we have learned that there are 5 elements to make up a transportation reservation (1) A PASSENGER (name) (2) Pickup Date and Time (3) Pickup Address (4) Drop-off Address (5) How you're going to pay... If you don't have that you don't have squat! That's not a BUG or an Error it's an incomplete form. His explanation was simply ridiculous.

Describing your overall experience with TaxiAdmin
One word comes to mind " DISASTROUS" I requested a refund 5 days into my paid subscription. There is no 24/7 support they are located in Ukraine, if you're not in their time zone you're in trouble. His chat response to my refund request.
Sir, we give you the service for one month, and we'll add the branded app for you, either way, if you don't want to continue, you don't have to pay ever again, no refunds, because we already deliver the project for a month
I'm wondering if they use a special calendar in Ukraine! I subscribed to the service on March 19th. It was Activated on March 23rd today is April 5,2021 how is that one month. Unless he's telling me the two weeks of supposedly FREE trial is included.

We are a well-established company, we operate in a relatively small market. Our vision is to add Taxi Hailing to our list of services. Our intent was to test the market before jumping in with both feet. The start-up cost with TaxiAdmin was a fraction of their competition. This is a clear example of you get what you pay for. On the other hand we have paid full price for software and received nothing in return. That being said, WARNING! TAXIADMIN DOES NOT GIVE REFUNDS!

I wrote my first review on PHPJabbers in Feb. 2016. Many may have misconstrued my words. It certainly was not written to be derogatory, I have been with them since 2010 and own over 10 of their scripts. I emphasized that prior to that one 2016 project, all of my experiences with PHPJabbers had been great. That was my experience at the time with one project and still today I think most of the friction was a misunderstanding. I have been with them for over 10 years now and YES they are a great company and they give you value for money. While at the time I was irritated with their response time They have always delivered and overall, the scripts performed as intended.

I recently launched an eCommerce website using their STIVA Shopping Cart. Yeah, WordPress, osCommerce, Abantecart, and a few of the other eCommerce/Shopping Carts are free but there are some serious setbacks if you're just starting out. There's a steep learning curve. STIVA on the other hand was super simple. I was able to set up the site in a few hours and the next night upload over 100 variable products one by one. The mobile responsive layout rivals that of WordPress, Joomla, or any of the others I tried. I've had some modifications done and they have got much better with their response time and communications than in 2016. Do I recommend them? WITHOUT DOUBT, or QUESTION! I'm looking forward to scripts on their new Framework... THEY JUST KEEP GETTING BETTER! Keep up the good work team.

I've been with siteground for just over 5 years, Migrated from Hostgator, Godaddy and a few other small fries before finally finding a home here at SiteGround. I see some derogatory reviews but after being in business over 40 years I have learned " You cant be everything to everybody" Keep up the good work guys
