A Chinese manufacturer stopped communicate, denied manufacturing and damaged stored materials due to bad storing procedures. I received 40% refund only by Alibaba Trade Assurance. Alibaba didn't recognize the whole communication me and the manufacturer had. Alibaba's action would never been accepted by an ordinary court but it's not practically possible to press charges in China as the costs will be too high. Bottom line: I lost about USD 6000 because of a Chinese supplier's and Alibaba's attitude.
