The site is great, easy to use, the interface is well made. Sadly, the people I've encountered who are interested in hiring me all seem to be scammers.
I've bid on some writing projects, and those who have responded have asked for "registration" fees or payments from me, usually a percentage of the project, in order to receive the work and begin. Most recently, an individual forwarded me a WhatsApp number, which led to a person named Rebecca Wilson from Beaver MO ******* on Whatsapp Phone number *******616. She claimed to represent XL Translating Global Business Company. She wouldn't provide a website or more business info, but sent docs via WhatsApp with the promise of contracts and payments of 1500 to 3000US to translate docs in English into Arabic. She promised to pay via paypal, and preferred to conduct business and transactions through WhatsApp. "She" didn't want to communicate through Freelancer, nor did she want to email me.
I have no idea if this is legit, but I've found no company info, and only complaints online about them asking for fees on Freelancer. Their company is not listed on Freelancer either. They post work as individuals, contact you through whatsapp, and then ask for the fee payment to receive work.

My recommendation would be to make it easier to report scams, Also perhaps find a way to contact these people who are scamming others in order to stop them or at least prevent them from continuing so easily.
I would like to have the remainder of my money refunded. I've moved on to other sites in search of work.
