This company does everything they can to impersonate Hilton to the point that I did not realize that I was booking from a third party. They reserved the room but failed to actually pay for the room forcing me to pay in person. This did not stop them from charging my card though!
Tried to call the 1-800 help line, robot runs you around in circles and prevents you from actually speaking with anybody.
Called Hilton, confirmed that gettaroom did not pay them anything as there card was declined.
Disputed the payment with my creditcard, gettaroom argued I still owed them the money and was trying to "circumvent" the cancelation policy...I stayed in the room I booked, they just did not pay and left me with no way to reach them.
Left a review on another website, they had the audacity to contact me via email, telling me that they could not refund me until the dispute was cleared by my bank.
Anyway, total scam, dont use them for anything.
