Eager to have my appliance fixed promptly, I explained to the call center representative that my dryer was not heating up and required attention. I also made it clear that it had been recently repaired, prompting me to inquire about Angi's guarantee on their repair services.
Assured that they could resolve my issue, I reluctantly agreed to a hefty fee of $309 for the service. The appointment was scheduled for noon, and I patiently awaited the technician's arrival. Unfortunately, my optimism quickly turned to frustration when the repairman showed up a staggering 1 hour and 50 minutes late, at 1:50 pm.
To add insult to injury, the technician, despite his tardiness, spent a mere 27 minutes at my residence, leaving by 2:17 pm. Shockingly, he couldn't fix my dryer, citing the need for additional parts. What infuriated me the most was that this crucial piece of information was conveniently omitted when I booked the appointment.
To compound my dissatisfaction, Angi had already charged my credit card for the full amount, despite the repairman accomplishing absolutely nothing. The lack of transparency regarding the required parts and the premature charging of my credit card left me feeling deceived and disheartened.
In conclusion, this entire experience with Angi's repair service was marred by tardiness, incomplete communication, and a lack of integrity. I expected more from a service that solicited my business, and unfortunately, I am left with a broken dryer and a sour taste from an overall disappointing encounter with Angi.
