I went looking for a course in programming and fell victim to these sharks. They double team anyone who inquires about their so-called certification courses which are just whatever SkillSoft is marketing. They work like housing development sales people in that first one member of the team works on you with their psy-ops then the other member will take a turn. What you get for your Seven Hundred Dollar course in C++ is a disk from SkillSoft which gets you access to CBT Direct's server, but not a single scrap of course material. As my first example of life in the "Cloud" I was left feeling thoroughly used. They claimed it was an entry level course, but if you go directly to SkillSoft their site clearly states that the C++ certification course IS NOT AN ENTRY LEVEL COURSE, but is intended for folks that have some experience in programming. I complained to the SkillSoft folks about my experience and told them how badly misrepresented their curriculum was and the party I talked with demonstrated some degree of indignation. However they're still content to let CBT Direct continue to market their courses and misrepresent them in the bargain.
Save yourself around Seven Hundred Dollars and the embarrassment of being hoodwinked by these fast talkers.
There are many free courses in programming on the internet that leave CBT Direct in the dust in terms of quality and factuality.
