Is there anything that we can do to get our money back. I purchased 4 vouchers from them for restaurant/hairdressing and I am being told by the retailers that they will not be honoured. Can trading standards to anything> I have never been in this kind of position before so unsure what I can do

As others have suggested here, ask your credit card company for a chargeback as soon as possible. Explain to your cc company that nCrowd is now in foreclosure and isn't selling any more goods or services. Therefore, any unused store credit or vouchers are now useless. I wouldn't bother to wait for nCrowd to resume selling deals again. You could also send your cc company the information about the foreclosure (see the link below) to support your claim. Also, your cc company will likely request proof (e.g., emails with the merchants or the names of the merchants you have spoken to on the phone) that the merchants were unwilling to honor the vouchers. I was able to get a chargeback by doing the above.

Perhaps you could ask PayPal for assistance if you used it to purchase the nCrowd deal.

I think your best bet is to e-mail 'Carl': carl@ncrowd.com.
He has helped me out immensely on a couple of occasions.
Good luck.

Email the uk director of Ncrowd.

Contact credit card company and tell them the retailers are not honouring vouchers because Ncrowd are not paying them, you should get a refund.
If you paid by debit card then you need to take the vouchers to the nearest dartboard
Get someone to film you throwing darts at them, add a commentary and post it on you tube and Facebook, you'll get thousands of hits and likes,

Yes there is! Very easy. Call your credit card company. Tell them they went out of business. Tell them the merchant will not honour the voucher. The credit card company will do a charge back on your account. Usually within days.

My experience with NCrowd was horrible and that opinion is shared by many. The merchandise, when it finally arrived, was substandard and customer service was practically nonexistent. It is my understanding that they have closed shop under that name because of the shoddy service. Stick with known quantities such as Groupon and Living Social. NCrowd will probably re-emerge under a different name, but steer clear of new players with old shoddy game.

Hi Geraldine. If you paid with a credit card, call your bank. Most of them have insurance against this type of fraud and will reimburse your money. Happened to me with N crowd already and my bank refunded my money. The parcel I paid for came like 2 months later and I simply delcined delivey as per my banks instructions :).

Hey are Boomstreet now. Filed bankruptcy and changed their name. That way, they can keep all of the money they have collected from buyers and not send the merchandise. Merchants that do send merchandise on behalf of newly named Boomstreet WILL NOT GET PAID. I recommend finding Boomstreet online and sending them relentless emails demanding your money back. Don't let them keep your hard earned money! Feel free to answer back with updates. Good luck!

I had a similar experience andCarl@ ncrowd. Com responded to my complaint. I was refunded the amount owed and given points to use on my next purchase which is useless to me as I would never do business with them again. If the company is not in existence now then you may be out of luck.

NCrowd is now Boom Street. I don't know if they've been bought over or just changing name. I can't believe a major international business can get away with this. Some of the answers here mention about credit card refund but i used either debit card or PayPal so not sure where I stand. I have e-mailed them several times requesting a refund but no response (finnily enough!). They must make millions this way.
