acornonline.com also known as AcornTV is a website where you can watch the great British shows like: Above Suspicion, Prime Suspect (that the American version is based on), Midsomer Murders, Cadfael, Agatha Christie's Poirot, etc. I love the police & medical dramas and all sorts of mysteries such as: CSI, Bones, Law & Order, Castle, etc. and now I can watch the great British shows on AcornTV. (I am located in the USA). There is just one catch -- you can only watch a limited number of shows that they make available at any one time. There is one episode of 10 different shows available to watch any any one time. Then once a week the oldest available video drops off and a new one is added. You, of course, can buy an entire series on DVD, otherwise you just have to be very patient and wait for a new show to be made available each week. Another plus is that there are no "click throughs" that can lead you into computer virus/malware territory and there is nothing to download in order to watch a show. The only "con" is I wish that there were more episodes where available to watch.

Acorn/Signals are terrible. I've been unable to get a response either on-line or phone. Can't track my orders, they don't even show up after putting in the order number.
Also a mysterious charge (which I didn't make) has shown up on my credit card.
I feel at a loss. I can deny the charges, but have to cancel my card and be issued a new one. That won't work at Christmas time.
I ordered a top from Acornonline.com and chose my usual medium size. I paid $11.99 to have it shipped. The top was more like an extra-large. I decided to return it and Customer Service refused to compromise on free shipping back, even with an oversized item. It cost me a total of $20.00 in shipping just to try on an item that was incorrectly labeled as a medium size.

I ordered an adorable bunny basket from Acorn intended as a gift for a friend. It arrived in many, many pieces. After complaining I received a second order, which also arrived in pieces. Today I received the third attempt, and it was also broken. Not only do I not have the gift I wanted, I have spent endless time on the phone waiting for the customer service representative to complain, followed by my need to package the breaks all up again and stand in line at the USPS office during the pandemic. I'm really fed up with Acorn's shipping department.
More of the same from me. Ordered two shirts for my husband for Christmas. Paid over $26 for two day shipping. Contacted customer service after 5 days, no way to check status online. I was told to check my order status online! Never read my email. After 7 days they generated a FedEx label yet it took two days to give it to FedEx. Shipper got it here in 4 days. Not sent expedited. Received acorn email stating that one shirt is backordered. What?! 15 days from order FedEx showed up with 2 boxes. Yay. Nope! I received 2 of the same shirt. One is MIA. And was charged for both shirts delivered, upgraded ridiculous shipping costs in full... twice. OMG never again. I wish I could rate them -5 but 1 is the lowest. The remainder of my order is now in stock, according to the website. Are they going to ship? When? I expect a refund on shipping costs at a minimum however I am not hopeful. Unless you are looking for a crazy shopping project, do NOT purchase from this company. Sure hope they at least send the remainder of this order without shipping costs charged yet again. Just need to be done with them.

Their customer service department is awful, you stay on hold forever, when you finally get a person on the other end you are treated like an idiot, they are rude and not above putting you on hold, never to return or they simply hang up on you.

I bought a hoodie from Acorn Online for a Christmas present. The printing on it was faded and blurry, so I exchanged it. It took over three weeks to hear anything from them about receiving the item, and then I only knew they had received it because they charged me for an additional sweatshirt. When I called to tell them, they double-charged me for an exchanged item and refunded me only a partial amount. After two months of trying to get someone there to understand the problem and rectify the situation, I never heard back from them. At one point, they said a supervisor would call within two days, but he/she never did. The fourth or fifth time I called, the representative said he was refunding me the overcharge and that a supervisor would call me within two hours. The supervisor never called and the refund was never given. I had to file a fraud dispute with my credit card in order to get my money back.
The sweatshirt that they sent back in exchange also had faded lettering, but it was not blurry. We decided to keep it because I had already had to make an 80 mile trip to take the new hoodie to the recipient.
The disputed amount of money was only $6.40, but I persisted because of the principle of the matter.
I will never buy anything from this company again.

After being informed that the most important product I ordered wouldn't be available until after Christmas, I have tried repeatedly to cancel my order. They simply ignore upset customers. Will have to challenge the credit card charges and file complaints with governmental agencies.
I ordered one very expensive Sondheim musical on line, and got a different one - No apology, no offer to replace at no charge. Avoid this site! (altho i don't know how my order got to Acorn for filling)

First let me be fair, I have ordered from this company in the past without any issues. This time I'm very disappointed and will never order from Acorn or any of their sister companies again. BEWARE, if you have a question or problem, they really DON'T CARE!
I emailed within 5 minutes of placing an order that I found an item in a sister catalog (that I also have ordered from many times) that was on clearance and I just ordered at full price from Acorn would it be possible to price match. No response. I called them and was told they do not price match so I wanted to cancel the item of which they would not allow as 1 item was already shipped. This was on November 22,2023. I have yet to receive any of the other 5 items which are Christmas gifts for friends. I called again yesterday (December 14) and was told my order was still being processed in the warehouse?! I asked for a supervisor and was told they were on another call but would call me back, I am still waiting. I am a business owner myself and certainly would think it to the best interest of the company to have satisfied customers. I am VERY DISAPPOINTED!
I ordered a large, expensive item from Acorn and waited the 6-8 weeks for delivery. After the time passed I called and was told they had to go through the vendor for information. After numerous calls to Acorn I told them just to cancel the order. I was told something different by each representative I spoke with. Finally, I spoke with a manager and was told I'd receive an email stating the order was cancelled. That never happened. This item was over $400.00. I will never purchase anything from Acorn again!

I called customer service after not being able to place an online order with a gift certificate. First customer service rep was not able to help me and promise to escalate the issue and somebody would get back to me within 48 hours. No response I called again, and the scripted customer service rep kept repeating that she was trying to help me, but after 45 minutes, she was not able to help me and gave me the same answer. That somebody would get back to me within 48 hours and still waiting. She said she would not be able to send me an email documenting our conversation, so I assume that no one will get back to me. I will call again.
Just ordered $59 USD worth of T-shirt and 2 ball caps. The shipping charge to Canada (which they don't show you until the end) was $32 US, making the total cost of $95, or about $130 CDN ($42+ CDN per item). THEN, on top of everything, this US company 'estimates' a sales tax of $3 on top of everything. They're a US company... they shouldn't be charging tax at all. TOTAL rip-off! The same goes for their sister company Signals.
I did some Christmas shopping from their catalog as I found some unique items that I thought would be fun gifts. I ordered on Dec 7, heard nothing from them on shipping status and then called on Dec 17,19 & 21 for a shipping update. Each time the message was "I will escalate your order" with the warehouse and it will ship later today. Each time it did not. On the 21st when I called, I asked it to be shipped to a different location (guessing that it was going to be arriving after Christmas), and they said "no need, the shipment will arrive by Christmas. On Dec 23, I called again and they said the shipment hopefully will arrive 2-3 days after Christmas. They clearly have no idea what is going on. So disappointing--as the items I hoped to purchased would have been great gifts. Never again.

I ordered this item (Verdigris Bird Bath/Feeder) some time ago, only to be told, in about a week, the item was " backordered ". Ok. Then, in about another 10 days, was told "due to high demand, item no longer available". Ok.
Next catalog received, item listed as "NEW" and available. Wow! I ordered again. Ok. Wait for it... it happened again... backordered... not available.
Company claimed they hadn't charged the credit card... but they put a "hold". (Ie. Pending) on nearly $80. It took awhile, and multiple useless phone calls to Customer Service. Never again.

My shipment was lost, but I was charged. Acorn does not respond to my messages and my money is gone.
I ordered 12 ornaments, thereby getting a discount for 12 or more. The next day I am told one ornament was discontinued. I asked if I could just replace the discontinued one with a second of one of the other ornaments. I was told I had to place a new order, pay for shipping, and could not get the discount. Overall they wanted to charge me over $20.00 for one item that should have been just under $8.00. Despite going to Customer Service and Order entry (they passed me back and forth - putting me on hold each time) no one could correct THEIR error!

The accountant just finished my 2022 Taxes and I noticed form 1116 Foreign Tax Credit, WHY? This is a USA company why do I have to pay foreign taxes? The accountant picked the Kingdom of Bahrain as that was the last placed I worked but I was informed she could have picked any country. This was taken from my 1099-DIV line item 7. Why am I required to pay a foreign tax? I want to close my Acorn account but now it will not let me log into the website. Once I can close this account I will also inform all of my friends to stay away from ACORN I think they are a SCAM.

I ordered an item - got the receipt and the announcement that FedEx would be delivering the package and keeping me informed. I watched as it moved to within a state of my home but it got stuck there for 3-4 days. I called Acorn and they said they said they could do nothing until the arrival date past. I called FedEx and their system didn't give me a person or an option that met my need to tell them the package was stuck. I then watched it go from WI to FL and back to Indianapolis. Now when I call Acorn whoever answers says they must connect me with customer service (I already have called the published customer service number) and pass me on to someone else. I still have not gotten my package which has now been stuck in Indianapolis for 5 days. I will never buy from Acorn again!
I ordered two solar flares for $30 each (worth about $9.99). One doesn't work. Called the number provided for customer service on Acorn's confirmation--wrong number, the person who answered only handles sales. Provided another number by her, wrong number, the person who answers only tracks orders. I was told that a "specialist" would call me (they have a land line number); when I asked if I could email I was told "no." Since I am not around my landline 24/7, I checked the website and found an email address. Obviously, they do not give priority to assisting with problems, and likely hope people will give up. I won't. Cannot upload either a pdf, Word document, or scan, but I have proof of purchase.

Ordered what I wanted on December 14. Did not hear from Acron after the initial order confirmation. No way to track the order. I like Acron products. But this year and last, the Christmas orders were not picked for shipment to arrive by Christmas. It took 9 days to pick the order. This year I made calls three days in a row. First call on the 21st - product has not been shipped - confirmed with the representative that it would ship on the same day the 21st and she confirmed the shipment would arrive by the 24th. Called on the 22nd, the product had not shipped - confirmed with the representative that the product had not shipped. She said this happens, shipments fall off the skids or get lost. She would ensure the product would ship overnight and she would email me to confirm. Called on the 23rd, the product shipped on the 23rd but had not reached Fed Ex. Expected delivery December 29. To be updated when Fed Ex gets the package.
The same thing happened last year but the delay from order to shipment was 15 days.
I feel sorry for the clerks who work here. I would guess they have to explain lousy service all day.
