I purchased a book from this site, which turned out to be more brick-and-mortar than I realized! The book bounced because I had just moved and made the ridiculous mistake of putting an address in the correct city with my old number and street from my old city, which just happened to not exist in my current one! I called Yvonne at the Store and realized I was talking to someone in person at the store, as I could hear her dog barking in the background. She was very sweet and ended up sending me another copy while the other was coming back to them with no extra charge. Not to mention this was the only place other than Amazon that would sell it! If you're going to buy books and can't find them at your local store, please give these wonderful folks your time and money. They won't let you down.
On April 6, I ordered "The African Origins of Civilization" by Cheikh Anta Diop from the African Bookstore, an online bookstore doing business from Florida. Long story short, I never got the book or a refund, despite emails stating that the refund "was accepted by the system." The African Bookstore also has two different addresses listed, but both are suspiciously located in Broward Blvd! The address on my receipt is: 3600 W Broward Blvd, Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33312. Website address is listed: 7027 W. Broward Blvd, Plantation. FL 33317. They seem to like "Broward Blvd" because they were able to find one in Plantation as well as in Ft. Lauderdale Florida! What a coincidence! They also now say they are "under new management!" Probably just hiding from their customers!
