Lexington, KY beckoned to us from Salt Lake City and sadly it was not for a happy reason. We needed to be in Kentucky to care for a gravely ill family member. The stress of the whole situation had our nerves frazzled and the kindness and courtesy of the movers that Final Destination acquired for us was greatly appreciated.

We hired this company for our move as they gave best/cheapest quote. Scheduled pickup and drop off days and charged us 600$ upfront. When its time to pick up our stuff, the driver came up one day late and told us completely different charges, finally doubled our price. With the stress we were already in we agreed to the price they said and paid extra. Now its time to delivery our stuff on as per planned date. They never showed up, when we called the company why the driver is not dropping our stuff, they said it will take any time upto 21 days. We are completely screwed, my Kid college starts next week and we don't have our stuff. Please stay far from this worst company with worst customer service.

These brokers are very talented at getting you stuck. Once you sign the non-refundable deposit paperwork on a fake low estimate, you've just thrown your money in the toilet or worse. They double and then quadruple the original estimate. You also don't know who they're selling your job to. Please check the BBB reviews (though there are some faked positive ones there, most of their google reviews are fake positives).

Tip for consumers:
Run, don't walk away from their promises of an easy and affordable move. They will quadruple your estimate once they get you hooked.

They refused to pick up when they came and looked (in seconds) my 62 U-Haul moving boxes (172 Cu. Ft) that's still very far less than the signed contract for 100 boxes (300 Cb ft). They imagined my volume moving boxes were 650 Cb ft (?) that exceeds the contract (?) and asked me to pay more $5,242 after minus $1,501 deposit for the total new estimate of $6,743 (2.5 times more than the signed contract!?). I was trying to figure out what really happened but the answer could be only one word SCAM. I am trying to throw my anger out of my mind, to forget about the money I lost and a broken moving plan ahead in order to move on. At least, I am here to say something to warning others not to let this happening in the future.

Tip for consumers:
Do not believe very much the positive reviews on Google, do not pay much money for deposit to Moving Company

When I called this company, a person named John Williams gave me a moving quote of about $3000. He said he was a veteran and proud of the honest business he was part of to help people keep moving costs down. He said he gave me a bunch of special discounts and urged me to lock in the low price with a 30% depisit, as it would go up the following month. I fell for his spiel. When movers show up they want over $15,000 for the move... no mention of any discounts. Because i didn't consent to go through with the move at the outrageous final price, i lost my 1k deposit. Customer support just shrugged their shoulders that deposits are not refundable, and a manager I contacted didn't return my phone calls. This is an obvious scam designed to get people to pay non refundable deposits for moves that end up not taking place coz the actual movers end up charging an extremely inflated price hundreds of percent over the original estimate.

First they suck you in with a decent price. The day before they jack up the price and give you a day to show up and come aday early. After screwing up the date of arrival they come and only take not even half of the list. I now have to hired anther company to move what they where supposed to. They are scam artists and we will be going to court on this.

They are moving brokers that have no control over who they book your move with. My movers, from New Jersey showed up in St Louis MO on morning of move and told me my move was to cost $1500 to $2000 more.

This "company" is full of frauds.

Final Destination Moving Services, based out of FL, purports themselves to be the trustworthy and easy way to move. The salesperson on the phone will conjure up fake stories about deceased loved ones who shared your partner's or your name, so they just "knew" they had to "help" you. <<- Honestly probably the first red flag, but I tend to seek out the good in people. Bad decision.

They quote you drastically low, then insist you HAVE to reserve with them on the spot, because demand is high, and your truck won't be available for long. I remained on the phone and discussed with my fiancé. We decided to book. We were told on the phone that our deposit went toward the overall cost. THAT WAS A LIE. I was then rushed through the contract and not given the opportunity to read the whole thing, because they insist you have to stay on the phone, you can't take any time to wait, and it's "such a good deal" THAT WAS A LIE. We were told we'd receive our items within a few days max of our arrival at our new home. THAT WAS A LIE. We were told "quality assurance" would call back within a few days to confirm our quantity of items. THAT WAS A LIE. QA called back about 3 days before our move. We had more items than I was able to recall to tell them on our quick phone call. I gave specifics and measurements. They adjusted my "deposit" by several thousand dollars, saying they do a 10% markup to the total cost to ensure there's enough space, and it likely won't cost as much as they're quoting. THAT WAS A LIE. That paired with the fact that the con-man I was in contact with wouldn't tell me what moving company owned the "specific" truck I supposedly reserved, had me wanting to back out, but we were already in for a $2k non-refundable deposit, and 3 days out from moving with no alternative option... So I didn't trust my instincts, and gave them more money. $3k to put it in the ballpark. The day of the move, our movers show up. They're on time, and they seem like decent people, but travel with a van of people to "back them up" because this apparently happens so frequently. They see our stuff, the amount of stuff I gave exact counts and measurements for. The amount of things I was quoted around $8k to move. It's not possible. We were then told it would be between $20 and $25k to move the amount of things the distance we needed. (literally across the country) The document we have from Final Destination tells us to call them before agreeing to any revised costs. But what good does calling them do, when they REFUSE TO ANSWER YOUR CALLS? What are we going to do? They won't answer, I've called all 3 numbers I had 5 times each. It's not like I have a spare $25k lying around. We prioritized our bed, and our kitchen essentials, leaving behind probably 99% of our belongings.

We arrived in our new home 10 days ago and still have not received any of our things. Between the deposit that the "brokers" apparently just keep and don't share with the movers AT ALL, the initial money to the ACTUAL movers, what we will owe them when or if our belongings actually show up, and the cost to actually survive in our new home while we wait for our bare minimum essentials to get here, we barely have 2 nickels to rub together.

I'm struggling to be excited about purchasing our first home, because I'm so scared we won't be able to make the mortgage thanks to these con artists. The rest of our belongings are now taking up space in the garage of my fiance's parents, because what other option did we have?

Please, please, please, for your sake, DO NOT GIVE YOUR MONEY TO FINAL DESTINATION MOVING SERVICES.

It's almost as traumatic as the damn movies they share a name with.

Is everyone ready to read quite possibly the worst review for a company ever!? Well look no further. Final Destination Moving and Storage is possibly the worst company I have ever dealt with in my 40 years of life. Do not believe these BOUGHT positive reviews! In short, once they (Jeremey Bowman & Tyler Hensen) LIE to you and get your money... you'll never hear from them again. This is likely going to end in a lawsuit and I will be reporting them to the BBB. Thankfully I have both family and friends that are attorneys so I can afford it. PLEASE PLEASE for your own sake and stress STAY AWAY!

To start off my movers where a day late, this alone threw my moving plans off including a new job across country. When they did show up they weren't even my movers but "transporters". Taking my belongings to a random warehouse in LA until the actual movers came to pick them up. Until when... I still had no idea nor was told when I would get my belongings. This isnt the worst part.

When I was first sold into hiring them by Jeremey Bowman…we went through my inventory at LEAST 2-3 times. In which Jeremey quoted me at just over $2000. To my utter shock and disbelief after loading only half of my stuff the movers proceeded to tell me there was no more room and I would either have to leave my belongings or come up with an additional $2600! That is a %150 add on from the original quote for a total of $4,800! Classic bait and switch!

When I originally asked if I had enough room his reply was "Actually you have so little that I had to add boxes so you'd to hit the minimum". Followed by a quality control rep that will call closer to move date to verify this again and double check. So that the very thing that happened, doesnt happen.

Enter Tyler Hansen their quality control rep. Once again with Tyler just as with Jeremy, we went through all my items to make sure I had enough room. And once again Tyler said "Oh man you've got plenty of extra room don't even worry about it". Later that week I called Tyler again to let him know that I forgot I had several larger plastic bins and even read off the dimensions to him. And once again "Yeah man don't worry the movers aren't worried about that kind of stuff. They're concerned with big items like beds, dressers, recliners, etc that would throw the entire space off." So and once again I was led to believe that I had PLENTY of room even with room to spare.

In summary it is not my job to know cubic feet as well as their (I'm assuming professionals) trained moving specialists. In which not one but TWO gave the all go and clear on space. Is this my fault for trusting a company that claims to be "trustworthy"? I trusted what their employees were telling me! TWICE and multiple times mind you! With this all said I could understand if things aren't exact always and a potential 10%, 15%, 20% extra charge in these cases would be justifiable. However…. A 150% increase is NOT justifiable whatsoever! And to finish all this off the "extra" items that were added where in NO way equivalent to needing to charge an additional $2600 or even close to it be in labor or space taken up! How can anyone with any intelligence think this is $2600 in additional space?

Next we have all the DESTROYED items... entertainment center, scratches on numerous items, lost pictures, broken dishes, and smashed containers.

Not only did I have to pay ANOTHER $1753. 00 but they demanded money orders. Again I was LIED to by Jeremy Bowman who assured me I could pay with credit card or check. The moving company accepted check on pick up but then completely refused on delivery. I now paid $2,730.00 ABOVE my original quote for late movers, crappy service, being lied to, and destroyed items.

This has been the worst experience I have ever had. And NO ONE at Final Destination did anything about it. All they did is blame it on the moving company and push it off on someone else. They didnt even try to help me out or reach out to me.

Bottom line this company needs to be shut down as soon as possible.

WARNING - If you read this and still hire this company, please check yourself into a mental hospital. This is the biggest scam since Bernie Madoff. They ARE NOT a moving company. They ARE a broker that doesn't have a flying SH*& about you or who bids the contract to move your stuff. Not only that, they WILL NOT show up on time. They WILL charge you more than what they told you. I'm pretty sure if someone needs to move, they need their stuff THAT day. Not a day later and certainly not TWO FLIPPING WEEKS later. Truck shows up TWO WEEKS LATE and proceed to tell us that it will be $1200 more than the $3K quoted to move 2 mattress's, 2 dressers and about 10 boxes. SERIOUSLY! We asked them to ONLY move the amount that was quoted and they left saying we refused the pick up. SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM. There is NO POSSIBLE way they have this many good reviews on google without a bot doing fake reviews.

To say this was the worst experience I have had with any business is an understatement. I scheduled my move for October 2022 back in March 2022. I was told that pricing is determined by cubic feet, mileage, and time of the year. This is reasonable. Moving across the country as a family is stressful and I tried to get this all figured out ahead of time as early as possible. The salesman, Alan, quoted me a move within my budget to Raleigh, NC. I also got a few other quotes for Fargo, ND, and a few other places. Later in the process changed my destination from Raleigh, NC to Rock Springs, WY. This is a 2,500 mile difference and the price was never reflected. They said "even if you moved 3 miles down the road, you reserved a truck for Raleigh, NC and that's the price you'll pay." All of the money I have paid to reserve the truck at this point are non-refundable. Meaning if I chose another moving company I was already out thousands of dollars. This is the business model of this company. Since I didn't have a choice and was already out thousands of dollars, I had to stay with Final Destination. I confirmed my moving date numerous times throughout the summer months for October 26,2022. I needed this date since my lease ended on the 26th and was buying a house in Wyoming on the 28th of October. It wasn't until the day before my scheduled move that I was informed of a "backup moving date." The 11 people I spoke to about moving dates, sales, quotes, etc., failed to mention this to me. The lady on the phone said "well you can use another moving company if this doesn't work for you" knowing that all of my money to this point was non-refundable. Also, a week prior to your move quality assurance gives you a call to finalize your inventory and update the goods you are shipping. I had a length, width, and height for every item that we were taking and ended up adding 7 items to my original list, this cost me over $1,500 additional. I was upset that my 2,500 mile difference from Raleigh to Rock Springs still hadn't been reflected. The customer service in almost every interaction was poor. From hanging up on me to disrespecting me, including the customer service manager (a real gem), I was treated poorly. This company treats people, and myself a veteran, piss poorly on purpose since all of the money is non-refundable. Every time you speak to someone from the company there is new or different information that is dramatically different. Now that we are a day late for my pick up the items from our "final" inventory were far shorter than the amount of things we had. How is this possible? The movers that showed up from USA Moving said this company under-quotes customers all of the time. How far was Final Destination off even with me giving them exact dimensions for every item? 1,000 cubic feet. They were off by 1,000 cubic feet. Not 20 cubic feet, or even 100... no, they were off by 1,000 cubic feet. This was even after my wife and I threw away items in front of the movers, many of them were special items and some things from our kids. Meanwhile, our stuff is on the truck already loaded, and they tell us the 1,000 cubic feet difference will be an extra $5,000. My family and I are closing on a house the next day, moving across the country, and this $6,500 curveball happens the week before with quality assurance being $1,500 extra and a $5,000 bombshell the day of the move. I looked at Uhaul, Penske, and Budget Truck. Guess how many trucks are available at the size I needed in San Diego, CA at the time I needed it? None. They had us right where they wanted us, left to pay these hostage fees to move our stuff. No other moving company could help us in a days notice, we were scheduled and paid since March with this company and they failed us at every step of the way. We had to get creative with how to come up with these funds and still be able to close on our house. Fast forward to the delivery day, numerous items were broken. Antique chests, multiple boxes of glassware that was wrapped and protected so heavily that it was clear the boxes were dropped (or delivered like in Ace Ventura), our grill, they lost a wheel on our office chair, some of the boxes were dropped off upside down (it was hard to keep track of all of them because everything was happening so fast). Afterward I had many conversations with supervisors at the company, Stacy and Holly primarily. What they continue to relay is that "the price you were given was just an estimate and you signed the paperwork." I understand that it's an estimate and that I signed it, but being off by 1,000 cubic feet costing me a curveball of $6,500 the week prior and of my move is not right. Not to mention the horrible customer service, and delivering my stuff broken. This company is a scam because of the non-refundable business model they choose to go with. No information is given about your moving day or time until the day before, the final price isn't given to you until the move is over.

Tip for consumers:
Do not use this company, Final Destination is a money grab scam.

They got us to our final destination exactly as we were scheduled. They arrived ready to work and did a great job getting us all packed. On the other end they were also on time and had us settled in nicely. A definite high five!
