I recently purchased two pairs of Foster Grant reading glasses from CVS for $27/each. Within a week, the shank of one pair broke off at the hinge. I chalked it up to, "oh well!" Today, I was removing the second pair when they slipped out of my hand and landed on the kitchen counter. They cracked into several pieces. Really? From a 2' drop? I've attached a photo. I will never buy Foster Grants again. They are garbage and that's where they went, in the garbage. I should have known better. From now on, I'll buy the cheap $4 pairs at Lowes or Home Depot.

I'm getting off the Foster Grant Tread Mill. The frames break very predictably within a couple of months of purchase if not sooner. The joke is on their customers. Analysis shows the frames are basically HPS1S-Polycarbonate plastic with a side of Ethylene Glycol Stearate coating. Basically, brittle material that doesn't appear to be designed with the customer in mind at all. Adios FG for me.
I bought a pair of "iron man" reading glasses(1.50) and they only lasted about a month. Within days of owning these the "Ironman" logo fell off of the earstems. Then the plastic earstem (left side) broke right behind where it screws in. I don't even use these all the time they are reading glasses. I will never buy their products again if this is the quality standard for Foster Grant.
Bought 3 Pairs of Multi Focus and the frames break easily allowing the lens to fall out. Never Again! CVS should drop you!
I have been through more than FIVE pairs of Foster Grant glasses. Every time they would either break or fall apart. I gave up and purchased a pair at the dollar store for $1! They have lasted me for a year and still going strong whereas the Foster Grants would last 2 months max. Either the frame would break, the lenses pop out or the screws fall out. It was just too much headache for what I was paying for them.

Do not buy Foster Grant reading glasses. They are overpriced ($20 at Walmart) and the frames break just after the 3 month warranty period ends. You're better off paying $2 - $3 at Dollarama and they last longer.

Spent $30+ bucks for a pair of reading glasses at Walgreens. Even though I treated them gently, they became inexplicably scratched after a few weeks, and after a few months the frame/hinge broke apart for no reason at all. My cheapo $3 pair from Walmart are better quality and cost TEN TIMES less.
I always buy foster grant reading glasses and i always give good reviews but here lately its been bad i dont like giving bad reviews but this time they break every time i clean them on the right lends
Purchased on 5/8/2022 at Costco for $18.99 a Foster Grant "Design Optics" set to filter "blue light" (2-Readers, 1-case, +3.00 strength). Within ONE week the lower right edge broke and the glass fell out (rust colored pair). I didn't touch the other pair for another 2-weeks (black/gray colored pair).
Then when I put on the second pair within 2-days the same thing happened, the lower right edge broke and the glass fell out. I considered gluing them back together, but the rim edges don't meet up, it wouldn't work.
As a senior citizen I purchased this product based upon the old Foster Grant reputation. I don't have a disposable income for sloppy product workmanship and I've asked for them to be replaced. I'm happy to return the broken 2 pairs.
June-22-2022 I contacted *******@fgxi.com and to date they have yet to respond.

The product I am reviewing is Foster Grant XTRASIGHT reading glasses, I have been purchasing the 3 pack with an extra bonus pair package at Bj's. For years. The right arm of the frame snaps off at the hinge of the frame, especially the blue frame after a week worth of use. The break is in the same spot on the right side all the time. This means the product is built to break. Because of this quality issue I have to purchase one pack of 4 every month. I like the glasses but am getting tired of being ripped off. Foster Grant, please take care of this quality problem, it's getting out of hand.
Bought a pair of Foster Grant sunglasses, the bottom of the frame on both sides, broke within 2 hours of starting to use and the glasses fell out. What a piece of junk!

The days of disposable products are over but the folks at FG haven't got the message. 3 pairs of glasses in 3 weeks and all broke the same way (frame). Irresponsible.
I like the glasses, but three pair of them have arms that broke, two left, one right all in the same place, right past the 'hardened' hinge. Seriously, three pair in 11 days? I do believe it's time to look elsewhere...
It seems the lenses are the only thing worth a mention on the Foster Grant readers that are available in most stores in my area. The competition can`t compare for lenses But I`m getting perturbed over the quality of the frames on Foster Grant readers had 5 brand new pairs in the last week and a half pop and the lenses fell right out while I was wearing them and 2 pair the hinges broke while wearing them. The really sad thing is that they are the best money can buy without going to a specialty company that runs 100 smackers as I like to keep a pair here and there so I don`t break them by carrying them around. I even bought the readers that were a couple bucks more than the regular ones at the store and I got 3 days before the popped of of my face. I didn`t have proof of verified purchase for the review as I don`t usually save the receipts and I`m not willing to go buy another pair just for this reveiw.
Foster grant is absolutely... JUNK.YOUR CHINESE PRODUCTS SUCK...,...
I ordered from Foster Grant online. I received the item, but it was not what I wanted. I called the company. They suggested an alternate pair of glasses to exchange with the original. I was told they were in stock and would be mailed out immediately. I did that on the day I received the original pair, mailing back the original as instructed by the company along with my order for another pair as an exchange. They had already deducted from my account. It is now three weeks later and nothing from the company in the way of an email or delivery. This is a big company, but I would never recommend a company that does not deliver. fostergrant.com is a ripoff. My advice-don't order from them!
