There's no perfect site that has every rental in Canada but Rentals.ca seems to have the best coverage. If you supplement its listings with a bit of browsing around on facebook marketplace you have pretty good coverage. Site is easy to use and pretty fast. They also have great market stats that they publish every month.
Site keep zooming out by itself to show places that pay more for ad, forced promotion, very annoying website, wish other sites available for rentals, this is a horrible website with lots of fake ads or ads posted by real state agents to fish customers, Agent: "ohhh so sorry this isn't available but I have another 10 properties similar..." Joke real state in Canada now, out of control! 10 ads called 9 fake or real state fishing, real state board in Ontario is a Joke!

Please be careful about scams when looking rentals from this website.
It came to my intention after someone called me to inquiry about an ad posted on rentals.ca about a property that is under a purchase agreement between me and the current homeowner. The ad was posted on rentals.ca as a scam or fraudulent rental post since the listing is not authorized by me as a buyer. In addition, the listing monthly rent on the fraudulent ad is significantly lower than the current market price for a single detached house.
I immediately reported the ad on rentals.ca webpage. I got an email reply from rentals.ca, and later the ad was taken down. However, people kept calling me about an ad on rentals.ca. I went back to rentals.ca webpage, and found the same ad was up on webpage again, but in a different location, a few blocks away from the actual property location. I reported again.
However, this time, rentals.ca didn't take much action after my reporting. Lots of people kept calling me. I worried about very much and went up to rentals.ca webpage, send them a message through the site's "Contact Us" page, and reported the ad one more time. I also made a phone call to rentals.ca, but nobody answered my phone, and left message to them.
Though finally rentals.ca blocked the ads from their site. But one of the two fraudulent ads remains displaying the property after copying and pasting the original URL to a web browser, e.g. Chrome.
I am in the process of reporting this incident to Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre for fraud and cybercrime investigation.
This website is totally waste people time with their lies, excuses and bully behaviors forever, Recently they took down quite a bit property owner ads by lying these ads are scam without any evidences and proofs, they did that to us, We reported them to BBB and provided proofs that we are the property owner and not scam, then rentals.ca used all kinds of excuses and lies to cover their problems, also could not provide any evidences to BBB our ads are scam, but just wasted both BBB and our time for quite a while, rentals.ca will close sooner or later due to their unreasonable behaviors.
I had posted my listing through torontorentals.com which was then acquired by rentals.ca. I listed my property for years (almost more than 5 years) on torontorentals.com. But lately, I was surprised that my listing was disapproved. I asked why my listing was disapproved; no clear explanation was given by this new management. It is not only myself who was disapproved, but also other landlords said so (without clear explanation). There are many landlords who have their listings disapproved without any explanation, although they paid for their listings. Read it on Google, BBB.

Tip for consumers:
Site only has properties in Canada
Found the perfect apartment here within just a couple of days! I will definitely use it again if I ever move.
Was recently looking for an apartment in Toronto and rentals.ca provided a large selection of apartments to chose from with filters that allowed me to search for the cheapest apartments in each neighbourhood. I was successfully able to contact a landlord and get a lease signed for May start.
