This is by far one of the best websites for second hand retail. I purchased a few books like 2 weeks ago and got here within a week. They have a variety of options and they are honest about the condition of the book. They don't only have amazing prices but they have even more amazing deals. Considering all of the second hand retail book stores in my local area got shut down, it's nice to know I can count on second sale to find good deals and good quality books!

They lie in the description then don't answer emails to confirm. Thought I was buying 2 sets of oracle decks which was supposed to include 88 cards altogether and guidebooks. Did I get that. Nope not at all instead I got 3 books all of which were not in the description. So mad they got to money. I will get a refund or else I'm going to just burn these useless books they sent to me. So angry right now was really looking forward to those cards just to be mislead and lied to! Do not buy from them. Hope they go out of business

I should have read the reviews before purchasing books from Secondsale. I originally ordered 3 books, and I only received 2. The third book was a Harry Potter book written in Chinese. When I asked them to correct their error, customer service was slow to respond and would not send the correct book. They insisted on a refund but omitted shipping costs. That means if I want the book I ordered the first time, I would have to reorder it and pay the shipping cost. Based on other reviews, this happens consistently. What a scam!
Purchased a Book/DVD's set. Ad says both dvd's are included. DID NOT receive both dvd's. Contacted customer service, NO HELP. Ordered 2 little books through them on eBay, they sent 1. After repeated inquiries I went through eBay and was informed a refund was posted on Sept 29,2003. It's now October 16 and even after repeated emails to them there has still been no response or refund posted. Don't buy from these people. EBay has closed my claim after refund was promised. I don't know where to go next... I'm old, I don't do technology... I can't figure out how to post the picture. Oh! I figured it out!

I've ordered 3 books from Secondsale and received free shipping since the order was over 10$. However, only 2 books arrived in a package, one book was missing. I was informed that I can reorder the missing book after refund is issued. When I inquired Re free shipping, since it was not my fault the book did not arrived, I was told that they have free shipping on orders over 10$ only. My further inquires went unanswered. I would not recommend this website- they messed up the order, did not apologize, wanted me to reorder and pay for shipping!
I ordered Launchpad For Moores The Basic Practice Of Statistics Twelve Month Access - Book Condition: Used - Very Good
All I got was a piece of paper with a code for accessing the Launchpad version of the book that no longer exists. They also sent me coupons from other businesses. Overall it feels like a scam. I would not use them.
My order was immediately listed as "back ordered" upon completing my order. Support told me that my order shipped shortly after I placed the order, but refused to tell me a tracking number or a date when it actually shipped. I was told I'd be refunded and if I wanted the books to order again. The replacement was listed as twice the price I paid, and I had to email again a week later to actually get the refund to process.

This seller didn't deliver multiple items on two orders I made on their eBay site. No explanations, no apologies, no restitution of the items and only a PARTIAL refund. They don't answer messages and they have multiple complaints on their ebay page. Don't do business with them. Avoid at all cost.

Terrible customer service and a scam. I ordered books. Was told they shipped in 2 orders. Received 2 orders with 2 of my 6 books. Contacted customer service as the website states all were shipped. Was told they already refunded me for the books that were lost in the warehouse and notified me. I told them I had not been notified or received a refund and sent screenshots of the website. I asked when the refund would be there. He said 3 days. I said from when since it had been 11 since I ordered. He said today. It is a scam. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

This is what Secondsale called a book "in very good condition." It was literally falling apart, and stained with who knows what. They did not respond to multiple attempts to contact them over the course of a week, until I brought in Abe customer service to intervene.

I placed an order (with my own money from my measly teacher's salary) for a few children's novels on Oct. 13,2023, to be used in my classroom one month later. According to tracking, USPS has been awaiting my shipment since Oct. 18. Two weeks after the 18th, when no shipping progress was made, I reached out to Second Sale books for a solution/remedy (read: send me a new shipment QUICKLY). I received a canned response to the effect of "just because tracking states the shipment is stalled doesn't mean it isn't in transit." (Which begs the question, why provide false tracking information?). It is November 18th and I don't have my books, nor has the tracking status changed. Because of this missed opportunity to fix the situation on their part, I do not have enough books for my students. I ordered more via Amazon, who will reliably deliver them in one day. If you truly want to receive items that you paid for, AVOID THIS COMPANY. If you're just looking to make a donation and receive bogus tracking information, you've found the right place.
I buy a lot of used books on other websites and never encountered rude people like this company. They will not ackknowledge that the descriptions for books I ordered were misleading and they won't offer arefund either.
I ordered several books from SecondSale.com and received shipping confirmation pretty quickly (I guess a shipping label had been created). Three days later, I went to track my package only to learn that a "delivery date will be provided when USPS receives the package." SecondSale never actually put my order in the mail and when I went to inquire with customer service about the order, they blamed the error on USPS...except USPS never received the package in the first place! I was then told they'd refund my money and that I'd have to re-order the books if I still wanted them. I had to follow up about the refund because they never actually initiated it and when they finally did, they failed to fully refund me. Plus, when I went back to their site, I noticed the one book I had ordered was over 4x more expensive. The bottom line is, SecondSale.com is NOT a credible company. Not only did they steal from me by failing to refund me for the amount they said they would, but they then stopped responding to my emails. Very frustrating situation!

Good as long as they send books as advertised. I've bought about 25 books with no issue, THEN last order contained a yellowed, unreadable, pages missing book. I've emailed 3x, called Second Sale corporate, posted on social media and have gotten ZERO RESPONSE. Will not order again from a company that ignores their customers.

I did receive volume 1. (It had a fair bit of marking, but that did not bother me too much.) But it was clearly indicated as a two volume set. It is interesting to learn more about this "company" (?) or person. I don't understand why they won't respond at all to my repeated attempts to ask if they could send volume 2. I'd rather not go to the trouble of driving to a USPS store. I'm not even confident that even if I return volume 1 I would get my money back. It was hilarious trying to communicate with a robot. Why not a human being? It is such a simple question. Oh well, c'est la vie, I guess.

I bought 6 books from them. 4 of which were apart of their Buy 3 get 1 free sale, the other 2 books were not. Well one of the 2 books not apart of the sale was not in my order. When I contacted them, they refused to send the book itself, and then did not refund me the proper amount, and refuse to do so. I have to return the entire order to them for a full refund, which I know won't happen because they will claim all the damage the books arrived in were my fault
I ordered a bible study leadership kit with a dvd and received a non leader book. After repeated attempts to contact customer service, they finally contacted me after I left a message on Facebook. They said they will refund my money, but I would have to order the leadership guide again. No way, I do not trust the outcome would be any different.

I did not receive all of the items in the listing. Description on website and bill of sale state "Strawberry Shortcake Berry Yummy Cookbook With Pink Measuring Spoons." I purchased this one rather than a same condition book without spoons that was less expensive. I did not receive the spoons. I did contact the company and was told it was over the 30 day return policy. I didn't want to return it; I wanted the spoons as advertised. Additional response from Second Sale states "Listed books are not guaranteed to have supplemental items such as access codes, CDs, DVD etc…In order to guarantee that you get supplemental items, we suggest to buy the book, new." The book is out of print and I'm sure they know that. Customer service and truth in advertising - abysmal. Buyer beware!

I wish I had read these reviews before I ordered! The book I ordered in "Good" condition arrived today with ripped pages and the binding completely detached from the cover. This wouldn't even be "acceptable" condition! I reached out to Customer Service 3 separate times, and they completely ignored me. No response at all. The lack of professional integrity here is so upsetting and disappointing.
I have had a similar experience as described in the some of the prior reviews; I ordered a book for my son, paid via my Apple Pay account, then learned that the book could not be delivered b/c of lack of an apartment number, which may have been my error, so was sent back to Second Sale. I have tried numerous times to contact Second Sale via email and their telephone number on line *******877; I have left several messages with no response from the company. All my emails to the company are blocked with the message that they are suspected as spam, even those that are a reply to the order placement confirmation email. I do not know how or if I will get a refund for the cost of the book, minus shipping. I will NEVER order another item from this company, and WOULD CAUTION ALL POTENTIAL BUYERS TO STAY AWAY, in light of what seems to be a pattern of at best very poor customer service, and at work an active scam.

We ordered two Mary Baker Eddy books from Secondsale and one of them wasn't in stock. They are so kind and gracious to give us a full refund and give us a coupon for 15% off our next purchase. They were so apologetic and caring. When we ordered they sent email welcoming us to the Secondsale family. I feel bad for all the negative reviews here.
They are very reputable business, and they do their very best to provide excellent customer service.
