I recently purchased a used engine from Sharper Edge Engines and I was very impressed. After getting the run around from LKQ I decided to contact Sharper Edge and I spoke to Buck Williams. He was very polite and helpful. He sold me a quality engine with ******* less miles and about $200 cheaper than what LQK had quoted me. I would recommend this place 10 times out of 10. I bought an engine from Jack. The engine came from LKQ. There was an issue W/ the engine and Jack made a bad situation bearable. Not only did he get a new engine, he also chose to refund part of my purchase price to help offset my expense of replacing the engine. My engine in my 04 Toyota Solara was damaged due to the radiator dumping the coolant. I went online and requested quotes from several companies. Jack contacted me and quoted me an engine with low miles at an excellent price. I checked his BBB rating and read the reviews. I ordered the engine. I received my sales order within hours. The engine was shipped from another company, which also was A+rated by BBB. The engine arrived when promised. I had already bought new radiator, timing chains and water pump. It was delivered to the shop that was doing the work, and they were able to have my car running within three days. If I ever need another engine, I'll call sharper edge first.

I bought an engine from them 16 months ago as well as a three year warranty. Timing chain broke last week. They won't honor the warranty and are giving me the run around that it is up to the remanufacturer to make good. He of course says it is their problem. Sharper edge engines is now refusing to communicate with me at all.

Was in need of an engine for Volkswagen 2.0 CC (yes qualified but VW denied) and Jack gave me s price that was doable but I've yet to get it. Only been 2 days and holiday tomorrow so I'm good on waiting.
However the complaints on customer service I just can not believe. Jack called me back 2x sent my invoice 2x and I was the one who had missed him. I'll keep this post going as the process continues but so far I feel confident in choosing Sharper Edge.

10/28/20@ 10:43 am. Jack texted me and asked me to call the company and ask for him. I called and Jack answered the phone. I told Jack that I needed an engine with low mileage and the cheapest. Jack had me to know that there's nothing free in this world and hung up on me. I called back and Jack answered, I told Jack that if I had wanted something for free then I would have asked just that. Jack became irate, disrespect, and racial over the phone and then had the audacity to tell me to go and F... myself. I wouldn't recommend this Sharp Edge Engines, LLC in Jacksonville, FL to anyone. Shoppers beware!

I ordered an engine from this company and although I FINALLY got what I purchased... It was NOT a pleasant experience at all. David was my sales rep... At first he was nice but he turned out to be the perfect example of a sneaky, rude and nasty salesman.
So, let me tell you what happened... The main problem? They sent the wrong engine! You read it correctly - NOT what i ordered! We found out quickly this was not MY engine because the vendor left the tag on it! VIN #, Location, Stock #... EVERYTHING. David didn't believe it was the wrong part despite numerous shortcomings; even the mechanic told him this was NOT going to fit. It was a 2008, All Wheel Drive Engine with over 115,000 miles on it. I ordered a 2011, Rear Wheel Drive, 50,000 miles! Do you see my dilemma? Anyway, he continued to say it will be fine and it got my REALLY upset, so I decided to track down the where this engine came from using the information on the tag. Well the vendor told David I called them and only THEN did David FINALLY tell me he sent the wrong engine! He told me he would refund my money... But I still needed an engine! My car was at the mechanic shop about to be charged storage fees soon! I told him to deliver what i paid for! Anyway, they picked up the first engine and brought the correct one some days later... Thankfully the mechanic was very understanding! David, on the other hand, never apologized or even acknowledged his wrongdoings but he DID, however, become VERY short tempered. Interrupting me each time I spoke, yelling and making insulting comments! He had the nerve to tell me after asking him for tracking information that I was a "waste of time" and I needed to "stop calling" him. After paying almost $3000 - now I'm a "waste of time." Look people! Do yourselves a favor... DON'T TRUST A COMPANY THAT LACKS INTEGRITY OR COULD TALK TO THEIR CUSTOMERS LIKE THIS. I'm warning you now... Stay away!

After dealing with a seller who sent me 2 defective engines for my 2007 Ford Escape Hybrid, I called Jack for a quote. He was able to find an engine w/62,000 on it in Oregon where I live - all for a great price. He provided me the VIN# and an Auto Check report so I could check the history and mileage on the engine. I ordered it from Jack on Monday, it was delivered the same week on Friday and the next week I was back driving my vehicle. So far, the engine has been running fine. Thanks Jack!

I was excited to find a reasonably priced replacement engine for my wife's LR4. They responded quickly and professionally and accepted payment. They said 5 weeks for the engine to ship. After 7 weeks the engine had still not shipped, they were slow to respond to emails and I had trouble talking to a live person. When I did talk to Yelda, she was very nice and sounded genuinely sorry about the delays. Ultimately my engine was over a month late, and I truly believe that it only finally got sent because I was calling them 1-2X per day. The engine got to the repair shop and was missing the "upgrade kit" that is recommended but costs extra. I called and was told that they always forget to send those, so sorry, etc. Promised it would be sent the next day overnight air. It was not sent and I emailed and called for a tracking number with no response. Called and email again with no response, and now they say that they "forgot" again and that it will be shipped out Monday (even though it is Friday at 9am... EDIT... They ended up shipping the parts kit and it arrived Monday. But THERE WERE NO HOSES IN THE PARTS KIT. Emailed the seller and no response..

I called to get quote for engine from them. They said they had one in another state. I Asked for pictures. The pictures they send me was exact picture I found from another website car-part.com a site salvage yards use to offload used engines for half the price I was quoted. They apparently just sit at a computer and dropship engines from other sources. I will not buy from them. They probably never seen the engines they sell, who knows what you get from a dropshipper.

I bought an used GMC Sierra 1500 engine from sharper edge engines tow weeks ago and I got the unit after four days. Jack the owner is very nice and helpful. The engine work great. Thanks Jack and yalda.

Was very happy with the service I got motor runs excellent buck was very honest had to swap everything of top of motor, buck took the time to listen to what I needed found me the lowest possible mileage on a motor changed valve covers and oil pan gaskets motor was in excellent shape

This is my first time writing a review. I have a 2007 Lexus ES 350. My engine warped so I had to get a new one. Lexus told me 4400 for an engine with ******* miles, Sharper Edge got me an engine with ******* Miles for 2800. It arrived to my mechanic in 4 days. That car feels better then when I bought it. This has been the most amazing experience I've ever had dealing with an online company. The salesman Jack was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He even went out He's way to find me a radiator. Dont Do business with them! Jack is the worst! On January 25,2018 I Stephen Pryor Called this business and spoke with the owner Jack about purchasing a 25 hundred dollar engine for a ford F150 pickup, he told me he had one but he suggested a new engine from someone he knew. I declined this offer and wanted the original engine i called about so he said he would have it shipped to me was very aggressive about getting my Card number..

I know Jack and Yalda personally. Their company is top-notch. They are responsible, prompt, have good customer service, are fair with prices, choose good transport arrangements.

Sharper Edge advised their replacement for my VW TDI engine had been checked-out and was 100% within new factory specifications. It arrived in 3 days and installed by the best German Auto mechanic in San Diego. Even these serious professionals are impressed.

Complete rip off. The guy that sits behind a computer and sources salvaged engines is apparently a master of all engines and knows Audi and VW engines in and out of them. Bought a $3000 engine called me back and told me that don't sell engines from AUTOPARTMAX.com (well that's where I bought the engine from) but they don't apparently sell from there anymore. Wanted to sell me an engine with over double the miles I originally purchased for $400 more I knew he was a jack $#*! when he started telling me what was wrong with these Audi engines and told me the reason the engine was more was because his "german engine specialist" in California puts a new timing chain in the engines. I don't want some hack going thru the engine I just bought. I just want a known running engine out of a car so I can put it in my car. He started screaming at me over the phone and ended up hanging up.

This company is absolutely excellent... very honest and they send excellent product and honesty is what matters... I'm very happy with my Engine for my old Truck... Thank you so much Yalda & Jack.

I wanted to let you know that my engine change is successful.

We received engine on 10/22/13, and swapped it into my 2005 Kia Sedona
On 10/27/13.

We replaced the timing belt, plugs, hoses/clamps, water pump,
Thermostats/gasket, belts, new radiator, Oil and filter, all with new
Parts, as we wanted to insure no future problems.

I changed the oil/filter again after first 500 miles.

I have driven in and out of town over the holidays and I feel very
Confident in this engine, it has the power

Expected, the fuel mileage is better, and I believe this engine will
Last long like my original one did.

I was surprised at how good the block you sold me was in and i was more surprised at how when i turned the key over for the first time it started right up. Also when i was looking for an engine the guy told me he had an audi engine that had just came in with lower miles and charged me the same price for it as the first engine. Ballin!
