Exactly as stated in the title. I have also messaged support 3 times now and have received only automated response acknowledging receipt of message. Very disappointed and disgusted with this.
One other thing is they have this new pulse app which you install on whatever device so they can track EVERYTHING you do and you are to receive compensation, (which is not specified in the FAQs). I absolutely would recommend NEVER installing anything like this. It's a complete invasion of privacy for mere cents.
We should demand fair compensation for our opinions as they are incredibly valuable to companies.

After completing surveys with this company for years and sharing my personal data in exchange for incentive that was promised, they kicked me off their site without a warning or explanation. I was very close to $50 in rewards just before they suspended my account. How convenient for them. I should be allowed to appeal or at the very least be paid for the amount of data they collected from me especially since I've never banned before. They took a huge chunk of my data and I ended up with nothing in the end. I feel cheated. It should be deemed illegal - I only agreed to share my data with this company if incentive was given in return.

Would give zero stars if I could.

Verified purchase

I have used the YouGov site for awhile and generally enjoyed doing the surveys. I finally got enough points built up to redeem for a 50$ gift card which I redeemed for on 12/5/22. They state the card would be received within 3 weeks which was desperately needed for Christmas. Well here it is 1/10/23 and still no card. I've reached out to customer support 3 times which they only responded to 1 inquiry and stated they were behind in processing but it would be processed shortly. That was over a week ago and still no gift card and no further response to my inquiries. I invested my time and effort into responding to their questions to be able to get my reward. I did my part now you do yours YouGov as you said you would.
For anyone else having the same issue I suggest filing a complaint with the BBB. Protect your Consumer Rights and hold businesses accountable.
Update: it is now 1/16/23 and still I have not received my gift card, 3 more emails sent to customer support which they responded to 1 with an automated reply that they will reach out to the team responsible if not received within another week. (Umm what team responsible you're customer support where's my card?)
I have filed a complaint with the BBB and am awaiting their response as well.

I want to add an update on this review of YouGov. Although it was several weeks past their stated timeframe to be compensated and after I reached out to their customer support team numerous times regarding the issue and filed a complaint with the BBB I have finally received my gift card.
Perseverance is a key.
Thank you

I've been a member of Yougov for several years now. You take surveys and once you reach a certain amount of points, you redeem them for either cash via direct deposit or for a gift card. It's something to do to pass the time and earn a bit of money. I've earned many gift card rewards over the years to spend for holiday gifts, but I've noticed that the company had gotten worse in more ways than one. Just last year I've earned a $50 gift card reward. A reward typically takes one to three weeks to receive once you redeem your points. I've waited one month and didn't receive my reward. I've contacted customer service twice and politely informed them that I didn't receive my reward. They waited a week to respond, and once they did they accused me of trying to scam them out of money and that I've already received my $50 reward, which was a blatant LIE. I've responded and told them I was going to report them to the Better Business Bureau. Slowly but surely, they begrudgingly issued my $50 gift card along with a generic "apology".

I still had points left in my YouGov account, and I didn't want them to take it, so every now and then I would take more surveys, quick ones only, just enough that I can get a $15 reward and hopefully cash out all of my points for good. I cashed out for my $15 reward, waited three weeks and received none. I sent them a message and received no reply. It's been a month and a half and I still didn't get my $15 gift card. I looked around and found that Yougov has a "pattern of complaints" on the Better Business Bureau website, along with tons of negative reviews where other people said they didn't receive their reward.

YouGov gradually became a terrible place to take surveys. They claim they're about finding honest answers and that they don't discriminate, but those are blatant lies. They punish you if you claim that you are low income by excluding you from survey opportunities. They skew the survey data they receive by systemically purging people from their website who don't agree with their political beliefs, brands or corporate butt kissing contests. They claim they want honest opinions, but when they get them, they'll either try to find ways to punish you or make you conform to their viewpoints (by removing other answer options so you have no choice but to click untrue phrases, acting hostile to low income earners and those with independent opinions, even rejecting them from surveys. They do this in hopes that people with different views will leave and people with the desired views and opinions will stay).

YouGov is Fraudulent Company That Exploits Low Income People and Further Divides People Through Skewed Data.

I don't care if this is a measly $15, I won't be bullied like this. I will go to every review website and leave reviews exposing their true nature to everyone. Next I'm reporting them to the Better Business Bureau as well.

I suggest anyone who reads this to AVOID this dishonest company at all costs.

For those who've been screwed over by YouGov, start writing as many negative reviews about them as you possibly can. This needs to happen so we can warn others and stand up to this company that gets kicks off of bullying the little people. Next, report them to the Better Business Bureau. Doing this is a credible way of alerting others to this sham company while creating a paper trail about said company. Boycott YouGov, and be sure to make informative posts about these scammers on Facebook, Twitter and the like so other people don't fall for their deception.

This site might take a while to earn enough to get high payout, but it sends you lots of interesting surveys that will add up. I've been with this site for a few years now and always look forward to seeing them in my inbox. They have many things you can use your points in a variety of ways.

I have been doing surveys at YouGov for over three years. Until April 2021 I had a good opinion. Now I don't trust them. I responded to their surveys answered their questions and accumulated points. When I had enough for the $100.00 reward. I went through all the steps and awaited my reward. After 1 month I had not received my reward. I whet through their system and requested help. I have contacted through their system and have never got a real answer. What I got was computer generated response.

Dear Mark@ Schwien
Thank you for your email. We have received your request and will look into it as soon as possible but in the meantime you may find the answer you are looking for in our Help Centre.

I recommend to not join YouGov. Do surveys for some over company if that what you want to do. At this point I have no trust with YouGove

Tip for consumers:
If you are in the same position with YouGov let everyone know. I am considering legal action. If they are doing this scores of responders. Then I will speak to a class action attorney.

At first, I was happy with taking YouGov surveys, as they were interesting and I was fast accumulating reward points. But I recently took a survey and at the end of it they asked for my address, and I was unsure about this. I did some online research and it seems survey sites aren't supposed to ask for personal info, and that includes addresses. They claim they need the address to send rewards, but why is that the case, when the rewards are either gift cards that can be emailed or cash that can go to a paypal account?

I think I'll avoid this site from now on, even though i have to forfeit my reward points.

I've been a member of YouGov since it's early days. I'm surprised it hasn't been reviewed on Sitejabber until now. While some of the surveys are a little monotonous (the ones conducted in "37 countries around the world"), there is also an opportunity to participate in occasional university surveys, focus groups, and widely published political surveys.

Most of the surveys are short (10-15 minutes). They make it easy to earn points, depending on how often you want to receive surveys, which pay 500 to 2000 points each. YouGov pays promptly. I received a $100 VISA card within 2 weeks the first time, and also participated in a focus group with other selected participants from different parts of the U.S., for which I was paid $125 in virtual VISA cards within 24 hours. I am also now closing in on another $200 worth of points.

YouGov has survey results for polls, many short polls on the website, and runs very smoothly; rarely has there been any technical glitches, and points are always properly distributed. YouGov gets my vote for possibly being the very best survey & opinion site online.
