I give Newegg a 2 star rating for good reason. I have ordered plenty of items from Newegg in the past and I tend to stay away since the stories I've heard of packages being marked as delivered but the driver does not attempt to deliver it. Well it's unfortunately more than this. The purchases I've made in the past either came on time or late. It was always a 50/50 chance you would get it on time(Pre-COVID). Luckily I never purchased anything of great value until now. I recently purchased a new $200 motherboard and was anticipating its arrival so I decided to stay home for most of the day to be there to receive it. I also have a ring security camera that I have set to record at all times. NO ONE attempted to deliver it but marked it as "delivered". After doing research I found its the shipping company OnTrac that Newegg uses most of the time for their "fast n free" shipping. 1.1 STARS! However the employee reviews mention it's a good place to work. No duh, you can steal mail(federal crime btw) and are protected by the policies in place. After being tossed back and forth between OnTrac customer support and Newegg customer support I can finally open up a claim. What I WANT is my motherboard AND my money back since this is putting off my pc build for at least another week. Most of all I want OnTrac shut down or delivery drivers held responsible for being thieves on a federal level.
