Paid to see Chelsea v Liverpool.
Paid months ago, with ticket to be shipped via DPS.
No ticket by day of match so contact Fanpass.
Eventually, an hour before the match, get an email from "trusted seller" with supposed ticket included, saying the delay had been "email issues".
This was way too late - there was no way I could get to the game in time.
Why did I not receive the ticket in the post? Apparently concerns about counterfeiting.
If tickets are coming from "trusted sellers", why is there a concern about counterfeiting?
Fanpass would not refund my money, so presumably they pass on the money I paid to the "trusted seller".
The "trusted seller" who has since failed to respond to any of my emails, and who had clearly made up a fake company name.
Don't be duped into thinking you'll definitely get what you pay for - you won't. Fanpass are soulless, spineless, cowardly little parasites that feed off people's genuine passion and desire to attend top flight matches, and hide behind semi-literate responses when people get conned. They then stop responding altogether.
Their Facebook and Twitter pages are now archived, which will tell you all you need to know about the volume of complaints that came their way.
Of course, to resolve matters they could simply reimburse buyers rather than pay "trusted sellers" when buyers don't receive what they paid for.
I hope you read this post BEFORE using Fanpass!
Update:
Thank you for your response, which seems to be a standard cut-and-paste job reply.
It's good that you've made it clear that no one gets their money back, even if they don't get the tickets or if the tickets aren't received in time.
BUYERS BEWARE - YOU HAVE NO PROTECTION FROM SELLERS WHO DON'T PROVIDE TICKETS
Hello Brian,
Thank you for your review
We are sincerely apologies if you have been unhappy with our service.
If you are unfamiliar with Fanpass then your request is understandable. Sorry if you did not notice but indeed we are an intermediary platform between sellers and buyers. Tickets type are decided by the club and the delivery method will depend on it - which can change at any time. This is display via our selling terms.
Please note that for majority of the events, tickets are only issued close to the date as per the event promoter is only releasing them close to the event date and this to avoid counterfeiting. It might indeed happened that your seller provided the tickets on event day.
Best,
Fanpass Support
