Their customer service is mediocre. They confirm your order via email then do not ship them. I did not realize the orders were cancelled until I checked my order status on their website. In my case, the excuses I got when I called were: 1. "PayPal refused your payment." (PayPal never refused to pay for an order from any other merchant for me. My account information on PayPal was up to date.) 2. You do not have a current credit card on file. (I checked my account status on their website. My credit card information was up to date and accurate.) 3. Your account is past due. (They did not bill the credit card that I had on file with them.)
I spent about 30 minutes on hold over the course of two days to correct my "overdue" balance. Their customer service representatives seemed to have no idea what I was calling about when I called to discuss the bills I received from them in the mail.
I suspect strongly that after you join their "Advantage" service with pre-paid shipping for one year, they find excuses to not ship your orders to you to save money for themselves. I say this because I had the same experience with their Advantage service about four years apart.
On the other hand, I have been quite pleased with the wines I received from WSJ - once they are delivered. And if you have a "Honey" app running on your web browser, you can accumulate Honey points with each order good for cash back from other merchants.
