Sirius is perhaps the most immoral business I have ever dealt with in my 79 years.
For one: they quote you a price and, when you baulk, quote you a lower one, and then an even lower one.
For two (and this is just scandalous): when you wish to cancel, as I have just tried, they require you to speak to one of their agents located in a country where English is a second language and then subject you to a barrage of attempts to convince you to keep their service. My first attempt to cancel was a lengthy affair which ended in my insisting that, my account be cancelled. My request, which the agent apparently granted, was simply ignored. The agent lied. My second attempt was to call and tell them I had sold the vehicle and therefore wished to cancel. After a reasonable exchange with the agent, I was told (and this, I suspect, was another lie) that I was being transferreed to the cancellation department. The line then went dead.
I have read on the Internet about the law suit initiated by the NY Attorney General in response to Sirius' widespread attempts to hold on to customers by whatever means, including outright lying, obfuscation, wheedling coercive persuasion--which in any decent mind is tantamount to criminal activity.
The only way to beat these people is to cancel your credit card and ask for a new one. This is what I did this very morning.
