I have bought from Jauce several times. Here's my guide for others to use :) Auctions in Japan are super cheap - the yen is in freefall and there are SO many amazing deals you can find on the site. But please understand that the price you win an auction for is only 50% of the costs. Jauce is very clear about the fees they charge for their service. Make sure to read them.

Tips for buying on Jauce.
1) Do not just buy 1 item. International Shipping fees can almost never be justified if you only have 1 item. If you want to make it worth your while, you have to divide the shipping costs between multiple items.
2) Don't buy things you can easily access in your own country.
3) When bidding on auctions do not wait until the last 30 seconds. The connection between your IP address and Jauce's servers takes at least 1 minute to connect.
4) Identify an item you like. Save that category to your bookmarks. Makes it a lot easier to find similar products in the future.
5) The best deals are often the ones without time extensions.
6) Understand the fees.
Example:
If you buy a motorcycle repair item for ¥1,000 you also have to add:
- ¥300 Banking Fee
- ¥480 in Auction Fees (400 flat fee + 8% of auction price)
- Local Delivery Fee: A few offer this for free. Otherwise, you can check the description for what kind of service provider they use. If they write "yu-pack 60" you can go to yu-packs website and see the cost. Local delivery fee depends on the location of sender. Okinawa is very expensive. Jauce's warehouse is in Tottori so you calculate the price between sellers location and Tottori.
- International Delivery is expensive. Weight is very important. Be conservative in your estimates. 1 KG of products will cost between ¥1500-2500.
So if you win a repair item for ¥1000 - it will end up costing you around ¥3800. And that's without VAT, customs, and Jauce Deposit Fees (3.8%).

Overall, there are many really, really good deals on Jauce. I've bought things for ¥2000-3000 that would cost ¥******* in Denmark. If you are unsure about the price of an auction, it's probably not worth it unless you really want it. There are so many things on Jauce - be picky and you can find real gems.
