Our flight was delayed to JFK from Charles De Gaulle, Paris. We were booked in Premium Economy. So we went to help counter to ask if we could be moved to earlier flight, This was 2 1/2 hours before this flight.
Enough time to get luggage changed. The nasty agent said, we have no earlier flight, and handed us back tickets. We told him it was on the screen. Then he said, Oh okay. He said let me see if you can change to earlier flight and what fees you will pay. What? They had delayed our original flight 3 hours, and now we have to pay? He kept us waiting for 30 minutes and then handed tickets back and said, sorry you have to call Delta, because you booked through them. They are partner airlines. Being a former airline employee I knew he was lying. Sure enough we waited another hour until a women at the gate, happilly and nicely changed the tickets, and explained she wasn't sure about luggage now because of course we were now within an hour of the flight leaving. No fault of our own. The luggage did not get on the flight. We are currently waiting to retreive it. Such mixed feelings about Air France. The service on board was very good. But we have had bad experience with them before, so overall I would avoid this airline.
