Used to be a goto. No longer. They are trying to rival Amazon but without the ethics and customer service. I have been buying from TSC since before on-line shopping was a thing. They used to ship from their warehouse. Promptly. I realize they have grown but they do not seem to be able to handle the traffic. So they appear to be downloading shipping to the supplier - some items are not coming out of their own warehouse. The problem is the orders shipped that way are not trackable. If shipped from the US (buyers are not told this) items go to a border transfer point like Taylor MI. I have an item that has been stuck there since January 19,2023. Tracking numbers supplied by TSC are tagged as one carrier but the carrier says the numbers are not theirs. A little research found one number to be another carrier who stopped at the border. TSC was most annoyed that I reached out to the manufacturer and both carriers for information as I could not get any from TSC. Lesson learned.
Tip for consumers:
Order by phone - not online - and ask where the item you are considering is coming from and who is handling the shipping. Larger and more costly items are most likely no longer in TSC warehouse. Be prepared for a runaround re tracking numbers.
Products used:
Everything from clothing to electronics to seasonal decor to fitness equipment. Products are not the issue, Shipping trackability and failures is. This is a new problem - never used to happen.
